Normally the budget drills from Makita/Bosch/DeWalt have crappy plastic chucks, this one is metal so heat!
Gist of it is, a guy who got a screwfix special on erbauer had something break, tried to get repair through manufacturer, and they informed him even they can't get parts - these models are rebadged cheapo's.
A quick google reveals Screwfix are the onllllyyyyy major seller with the "ER1619", so seems it could hold water!

I've loads of Erbauer / Screwfix kit and like all of it. Really well made, does a good job. I wouldn't spend the extra for a 'name'.

This still stands true and is easy to check.
The models included are: ERI603COM & ERI6041PD
I can not even find a place to buy a spare battery, never-mind common bits which fail in a drill.
I'm not 100% certain, but it looks like the brand is now owned by Screwfix, who simply buy in models from China. Quite simply, you're basically on your own if you break anything on it.

So which of those manufacturers use a metal chuck in their cheap range?

I got the impact driver around 6 months ago, after 4 months the charger packed in, so I had to take the whole thing back for an exchange, but the driver itself is very good, on it's own the driver cost me £90, so this is a bargain, and no its not as good as a dewalt or a makita, but no where near as expensive Ether.

The impact driver alone is worth the £111.

Just bought the drill alone for £63 from Screwfix and it is really well made, lightweight yet solid build. Great post OP

I would never buy an Erbauer product. Backup support is terrible; parts supply is non-existent. It's not as though the tools are especially good or particularly cheap. Buy Makita or Hitachi or, if you can afford it, Metabo. Erbauer products may look cheaper, but there is a reason for that. You can't even get spare sander backing pads. The only spares available for Erbauer tools are the batteries. Avoid. Google Erbauer Spares if you don't believe me.
