They will no longer be metric when you actually need to use these because they'll be all rounded off and mangled.

I bought the Macalister range from B & Q before they cleared them out. Not sure why they stopped stocking them as they are a decent set.

Good point. The largest size is 9/16" which is 14.68mm. Last time I checked wheel nuts are either 17mm, 19mm or 21mm and I doubt anyone would round even a 17mm one down so you could use one of these so No, they won't be any good for wheel nuts but very handy for anything smaller.
By the way guys if you don't want to round off bolt heads then always make sure you use a 6 sided socket and not the multi position one. Six sided sockets are miles better and usually cheaper for some strange reason.

Can't say much about these but if they're anywhere near as good as the irwins then this is a great deal. Had a set of irwin ones for years and they've been used over and over again for various things like removing brake calipers and exhaust brackets etc.
