got this one from tesco about a month ago. found it very useful (though chips and chicken are coming rather dry) and use it almost daily.

Whole chicken is best cooked breast down(bum up) then upended for last 10-15 mins. Mine is all cooked in 70mins on full power but watched by me all the time. Lovely n moist. Ya can't beat a moist bird.:wink:

i have one of these but different brand and although it is great for cooking meats as they dont dry out at all i dont think they reduce cooking times like they advertise, anyone else think the same

Use halogen everyday and think it's great but agree it doesn't really reduce cooking times unless you stick everything on the top rack which probs reduces cooking time by about 5 mins and makes a mess of the lid!

I have one of these and it works a treat, purchased from Tesco a couple of months ago for £17.50

It seems that it has no accessories like an extender - to extend capacity to 17L, racks, lid holder; if you have to buy them separately, they are more expensive, so this is not such a good deal. A halogen oven cooks much quicker and more economically than other ovens because its fan-assisted convection and radiant heat in a small in area glass bowl which is easy to clean.
