Just had an upgrade applied to this SIM offer, 50GB for 12 months @£34/month
The discounts which were showing on the account from the previous offer remained ie £10 loyalty and £5 loyalty.

So £19/month for 50GB, that's my home broadband sorted, Was on ADSL @ 2Mb now EE @ 45Mb

I cancelled the original sim that I ordered and rang them up today to see if I can get it reactivated but they said they don't do the 25gb deal any more.
Instead they offered me 32gb for £18 (12 month SIM though)
Extra 7gb for £3.. Not bad

They also offered me 50gb month with 4g mobile Wi-Fi device for £32 but I thought that was a bit too expensive

Still waiting on delayed sim, approved, EE had the cheek to ask me why when I had a Virgin sim with unlimited mins & and calls why I wanted a EE data sim - as a security check?. I chased them up several times, they said the card used for £2 security deposit and refund was not at the applied address ?? Twice India credit team hung up on me ? ( I was nothing but polite)

Pretty dodgy...further... given my Virgin info on EE wholesale system is absolutely nothing to do with them and they should not have been accessing it.

As with the above, don't go into the EE Store since most of the staff a pritty clueless.

I went to upgrades and mentioned the deal or if your feeling a bit cheaky mention that someone got 50 gigs £25 and you may get somewhere.

I didn't say anything - they called me as were confused thinking I wanted to add a second line line to my existing contract (as I put in the mobile number when I signed up) so once they knew what I wanted to do they offered me that deal so I was chuffed as I wanted a bit more data in the first place and missed out on the 50GB for £25.

I think the guy I spoke to worked in a 'WiFi team' dealing with data only connections - don't bother going in store as they can't offer anything decent at all as I tried that before!

Missed out on the £15 deal, and I really need an extra sim with more data. I'm a current EE customer with my mobile phone. Any advice for phoning them up and getting a deal anywhere near 30GB for £10? What did you say to get that?!

For me when i stream on my phone, it uses about 1.5GB a match, thats 720p HD quality.
When i used remote play PS4 app, it used around 1GB an hour to stream.

If you are looking for just Flash streams it should use less than 1GB for a match. Does sound like you need a big data offer but i usually only watch United games and the CL as i dont have BT.
Yeah i loved the 100GB offer, used 100GB each month.

I thought my phone was auto rooted as it came preloaded with Cyanogen OS. But i confused this with CyanogenMod, which is different. I would have to root my phone using the Mod version which would wipe everything. Then once the phone is rooted use a tether unlocker and hope it would work with the Vodafone 50GB SIM.
If it is just the browser then it wont work, as most the data would run through KODI or other apps.

Oh that's terrible. Checked the terms and conditions and didn't even mention tethering so thought it was allowed. Ordered one but probably won't use it now. [quote=deany76] I hope EE do offer the 100GB again as it was a fun promotion.

I read on the internet somewhere that there might be a way round it by using VPN and a rooted phone, something to do with hiding the user agent. I didn't look into too much as it looked too complicated for me

28 Mar 16 #99

This is an easy mistake to make. EE should know this.
If you have the time & date (from e-mail) when the order went through they will honour it if.........

and this is key, if you speak to the right person.
ie you could make one phone call & they will apply discount (get their name and 'EE Team number'
However if you have no joy hang up and ring back. Keep doing that speaking to different staff & they will sort it in the end.
With EE it very much depends on who you speak to.
BTW if they are an Indian call centre just polity hang up.

Oh that's terrible. Checked the terms and conditions and didn't even mention tethering so thought it was allowed. Ordered one but probably won't use it now.

I got by with the £15 for 6GB EE ones before. I just need something for work to watch football on. Each game uses about 1Gb so that gives me 6 games a month. With the 100GB EE I used to p2p with it. Tethering is a must though. 20GB a month should be enough. Maybe even 10GB.

I hope EE do offer the 100GB again as it was a fun promotion.
If you are a heavy data user and don't mind 24 month contract then £42.00 is the best for 100GB.
I've searched ebay for you but there is just one total rip off merchant wanting £70, stay clear of that.

Sim card arrived this week. Activated it today and logged into my account to find it is showing £30 per month. First call to EE, I spent 15 minutes on hold for the advisor to come back to me but unable to hear me. I could hear him and he went on to tell me the discount was for 1 month only. I hung up and called back. This time I spoke to someone who knew how to operate their telephone system! She applied the discount and assured me it would be permanent. I had to forward my order email before she knew the offer I was talking about. My account still shows I will be debited £30 at the end of this month, so no doubt I'll be on the phone to them again. Dire customer service.

manage to get this deal after ordering 3 times! had to phone up each time.

In the end I got it, also confirmed with the guy on the phone that after the first month being £15 it should be £15 after until you stop or cancel the "contract"

Ordered, not received yet, but showing up in acccount.

Shows as 1month rolling @ £30. However, if you look in the addons section it shows as having £5 and £10 loyalty discount, so that's how the £15 total is being given.

Looks to be the same format as my normal mobile plan with EE, so have no reason to suspect it will go back to £30 after the first month.

exactly what mine says

Your current add-ons

£10.00 Loyalty Free This add-on cannot be removed

so £15 off and as it cannot be removed it is a permanent add-on

beware!!

I ordered, and took 2 days to arrive. and was billed for £30 even though on the purchase email it stated it was £15 monthly rolling contract.
I called them and they didn't know about the voucher and after waiting on the phone they confirm that the voucher is correct and they will bill me £15 for the first month only and after that it will go back to its normal price (£30).

I canceled because the signup process didn't state that and I was mislead..

It gives you 100 Texts, I believe EE may also give you loyalty bonuses, if you top up 3 months in a row you can add a bonus to your tariff for the next month (be it voice minutes or texts) but as I do everything using data anyway (VoIP phone calls, and whatsapp/Hangout for messaging) it doesn't really affect me

deany76 to rogercat
22 Mar 16 #55
In the old days 'T Mobile' would slow you down, never cut you off. Never any charges.
Now EE stop the data you when data allowance runs out. Still no charges though (thank goodness).
You do get a text when 20% of data is left, with options to buy more data. If you don't buy more data then you have to wait till the next months start date. More data is very expensive-
100MB - £1.00
1GB - £5.00
10GB - £15.00
There is an option to upgrade to 50GB at £30.00 with same one month rolling once your a customer.
Also 50GB would be available at £25.00 but that will mean committing to a 12 month contract.
Cheers

took teh one month 15GB for £20 deal from here with teh free MiFi - so teh Mifi cost me £20 as I cancelled on day of purchase - plus hopefully £25 from quidco

when I cancelled the mifi sim EE offered that I keep the 15GB data and offered it for £15 and agree to cancel old sim with no notice.

then got this deal and EE CS guy tried his best to let me take thsi deal over teh 15gb for £15 but could not do it because their system did not recognise teh voucher

so cancelling the £15 contract and keeping this one
