Got an alert for a chunk off a cheap iPhone for a project for someone and as far as can see it was the lowest price, with a warranty could find.
There are tons of reductions and great value deals on this new eBay section, also a lot of different models, specs and types..
Instead of posting lots of different threads, for the same thing, thought would post the whole offer section and then some prime ones below ;-)
All the decent sellers have 12 months on the refurbished hardware and some are actually cheaper that Amazon Warehouse deals..
Apple iPhones all models
HTC all models
Samsung all models
Microsoft Lumia all models
LG some models
& a few others thrown in as well..
Last time eBay tried this, the stock flew out of the door on the popular ones, so if you are after a particular model, do not hang about!
Think as in *think* it all ends next week sometime or when the stock has gone ;-)

Just a warning, any 6,12,24 month warranty is essentially useless as once you have passed the time that ebay or paypal will help (45 days I think) then the seller has no reason to help you out whatsoever.
I bought a brand new phone through a seller with a 12 month warranty, it failed after 3 months, the seller won't even reply to messages. They got positive feedback when the phone arrived all ok and I can't change that. Reported them to ebay but they won't get involved with warranty issues.
So be aware, although I am sure not all sellers are like this, they really have nothing to lose by refusing to honour the warranty after the 45 days have passed.

DON'T DO IT!! I bought an HTC m8 from them a couple of weeks ago. It clearly had issues so I contacted them. No reply. I contacted them a few days later. No reply. A week, 10 days, nothing. Had to get Ebay involved, who to their credit emailed me a paid and tracked package label to send it back, and once signed for I was refunded immediately. No contact to this day. Feedback looks good, but look a little closer before buying.
Having read some of the descriptions, I'd hate to see their interpretation of "average" condition...

Mine come phone looks ok bar few marks etc. Only problem is the battery life, in comparison to my 5c is actually terrible so I assuming there a problem with it, plus it won't charge to 100%! The cable they sent doesn't charge the phone either. Communication re this via eBay is poor aka zero.

Fair enough to consider the fact that the phone has been used so give it a clean - but honestly if you're that worried about transfer of anything you can't function in this world. I hope you never have to touch a door knob, or a card payment pin pad, or heaven forbid handle any cash because that has been in all sorts of places.

Phone itself was a bit dirty but sorted with a few wipes. There is a slight scratch on the display, but barely visible. Couple of scratches at the corners, but no big deal for me, especially for the price. Can't comment on the battery life yet.

Yes, in some cases, extremely faster!!
I am currently running a custom marshmallow 6.0.1 rom on a N910F and it has been completely
de-bloated of all the crap you get with any stock samsung rom..
To install one [if you want to go down that route with your super value purchase!] is very simple
and takes 10 minutes to do..
1: Make sure your note4 is fully charged
2: Grab the latest samsung USB drivers
3: Choose and download a custom rom *or* make your own
4: Write the downloaded custom rom to hardware using a simple piece of software [windows]
5: Restart the note4
Also it is fun not following the iSheep/iBone crowd as you can *mod* your installed rom whenever
you want to, with lots of different bits & bobs..
Not for everyone, but a *lot* of the smartphone manufactuerers are moving away from stuffing
loads of crap, branded apps and other junk on their latest phones, mainly due to the fact that
most buyers are fed up with paying £1000 just to watch the device die a death under the weight
of the stock roms!!
eg: The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has a load less crap on it than the S6 and runs smooth as
silk, but chuck a custom Marshmallow 6 rom on the S6 and it then runs smooth as well!
A good starting point is the XDA forums, simply visit, type your device model in [yours will be SM-G910F]
the top right box and read and learn to your hearts content!

We did, one 10 months after and one 8.5 months after, one serious fault and one that was not really
worth fixing but as it was under *warranty* we did anyway..
Both were sent back, via the respective refurbished sellers methods, think one was please put it in
a box safely and the other was, just chuck it in a jiffy if its knackered anyway mate..
One got swapped out for an exact model and they sent a free bluetooth sports headset as a sorry
that you phone was not working after 10 months and the other just sent a voucher for the purchase
price as the same type of phone was not available from them.. about a month later we used the £80
voucher to get something we were gifting to a charity raffle.. so claiming, done correctly and in a
polite way is fine with *most* sellers!!!

I would be wary of buying a "refurbished" or 2nd hand phone. They're all designed to last only a couple of years, it's called planned obsolescence. So, on a lot of them, you can't replace the battery which will become less efficient and not hold its charge. They may have had a bit of a spruce up and look nice, but their inner workings will remain the same, just reset.
I'm not saying don't buy one, just saying it might be a bit of a false economy.

1 Apr 163#85
I work in this sector, the company I work for refurbish a huge amount of phones. I'm trying not to be rude but you're talking absolute nonsense!
Planned obsolescence - You can change the battery on ANY phone, absolutely ANY phone and it won't be expensive. Phones will still work 5 years from now and more depending on how they're looked after and the respective reliability of the model. There are no genuine parts available despite descriptions of parts on eBay saying genuine for Apple phones, if a part has been replaced it won't be genuine unless Apple refurbished it.
What everyone here should be concerned about is liquid damage, this is the real issue with phones and their future reliability. Liquid damage is an unknown quantity. Certain models have known issues, such as Galaxy S4 SIM tray for example. So before buying a phone have a bit of a research on Google and see what the known reliability issues with phones are and make your own mind up.
Should you buy a refurbished phone? Definitely, just check it over thoroughly straight away. Many phones have liquid damage indicators so Google where they are on your respective phone and check them. They can be removed/replaced by refurbishers though, always worth a check anyway.

if the seller is acting in the manner of a shop (ie selling more than a few of a similar item) then they may be bound by the same laws and regulations as any other store on the internet. i know this applies for distance selling regulations, perhaps it applies to sale of goods act too. just because it's on ebay doesn't mean you are restricted to ebays complaint system - if it doesn't work you go above them - consumer action group, citizens advice, trading standards, court, etc etc

Bought from the Music Magpie site the other day as they mailed me a discount code for 20% off iPhones. That made an phone 5s around 95GBP with free postage, so better than fleabay. It was a grade C so I took my chances as it was to replace a smashed 4s. It arrived within 2 days even though I ordered it Easter Sunday and was almost immaculate. Charged already and working within minutes. I was very impressed. The only issue was that their advert said 'all iphones' but the 20% off only seemed to apply to the 5s and below.

AVOID.

What Lucy said!
AVOID.
That was 1 phone from 1 seller.. there are lots of sellers in this deal and sounds like you had issues with yours.. that is the wonderful thing about the Bay and Pay-O-Pal.. the buyer is 100% protected, regardless of who is at fault with any
issues with a purchase ;-)
Phone itself was a bit dirty but sorted with a few wipes. There is a slight scratch on the display, but barely visible. Couple of scratches at the corners, but no big deal for me, especially for the price. Can't comment on the battery life yet.
Some UK sellers also pay people £1 to write reviews on ebay, so if I were you I'd never trust the reviews.
Hi can anyone help me please. I had a Samsung S3 refurbished from argos eBay 2 months ago. It was working fine but now it isn't. I have contacted Argos but had no response. Tried find the Samsung S3 new online but had no luck so far. Looked on Ebay but found it difficult as not used to online shopping. Thanks in advance.
Arrived home tonight to two phones from MusicMagpie (for family members) and both seem in perfect condition.
Would have passed on this if it was not for your post and your links.
I understand its not a big earner for hukd but know its posts like this that make the place buzz a little, so thanks.
Should get a VIP imho as I was able to point folks to the thread for info and hopefully they will see the benefits the site has to offer.
It might be worth mentioning samsung offer a 2 year warranty with their mobiles, which may give you another route to claim if you have problems with ebay, musicmagpie etc.
Got a pink 5c for my daughter for £85 and it is immaculate
Well chuffed!! After lots of trying and trying.. one of my deal threads has made HUKD Pick!!
Pat's self on back gently.. :sunglasses:
Thanks for that Fish, saved me having to answer all the "what's the point questions|remarks" over a refurb!

Superb!!
Let us all know how it is and then.. as it is a refurb and was such a good price, stuff Marshmallow 6.0.1
custom rom on it.. flies like the wind then!!! :man:
Outstanding price!
I'm not saying don't buy one, just saying it might be a bit of a false economy.
I bought a brand new phone through a seller with a 12 month warranty, it failed after 3 months, the seller won't even reply to messages. They got positive feedback when the phone arrived all ok and I can't change that. Reported them to ebay but they won't get involved with warranty issues.

Takes up to 10 days which is slooooow but better than the days of £80 orange unlocks.
Ordered an Unlocked 32Gb iPhone 5S for £136 after the code.
Have locked in a price from Music Magpie of £137.50 in case it comes and it's a POS.
Not anymore and from June[ish] all unlocking will be FREE on EE ;-)
Outstanding calvin, well done, glad you got in before the 10pm cutoff!

Welcome N42, there is only one thing better than a deal on one phone.. a deal on two!
>>>>>
Wow! Missed that one completely loutinkerbell! That is £20 cheaper than the one we got earlier
with the code!!!
>>>>>
Brilliant, love a bit of refurbished pricing and then they forget to change them up, so you get
a further 20% off the total as well, that is like 62.7% off!
Unless you are happy just using it on EE.
All other networks have a slick process to unlock a network locked iPhone, but EE's process is a shambles
Don't mind if I do.
Code worked first time
£85 for a 16gb iPhone 5c to take on holiday as I don't want to risk my 6s plus.
Well worth it for a bunch of cheap phones.

Claims "Good to Excellent Cosmetic Condition" but in the description "Moderate scratches and scuffs on the aluminium back casing and sides"
This one seems even better
Too good?

Cheers JB, missed that LG model at el-cheapo price! Now added to goodies list!

Yes some of them are a load of old toot, but a *lot* of them are in good nick, nice thing is, there are tons and tons to choose from and have also noticed from the RSS feed I set up, that some of the sellers are adding|readding more stock now the views are picking up over on the Bay ;-)
There are a few G3's which are about 19 pages down on the main list, one of the sellers [good one] has
a few left and since this was posted, he has sold 8 so guessing it is a good G3 price.. plus as it is only
a 12 month warranty, you can afford to have a play and put a much later version of android on it so that
it fly's with a custom rom or..
Official LG Marshmallow 6 OTA & Full firmware now available!

Hmmm. having looked at some of the phones, their idea of good condition seems to be light years away from mine:
Deal to me.. paid £154 for exactly the same iPhone last week, that has just cost £115 delivered ;-)
Arrived within a few days
No issues
