Cheapest I can find for the V6 Animal from Dyson. It is refurbished so only one year warranty instead of two but, most places are wanting £299 for it. Currently only £7 more than the normal V6 refurbished from them. But with the 20% off discount code currently running on eBay, it brings it down even cheaper making it an even better deal (and makes me glad I didnt just order via my phone earlier on in the day). So instead of £186.99 if you use the code CUK20 before midnight, you'll get it for £149.60
Have bought something from Dyson outlet before refurbished and was like new so have no issues buying refurb from them :).

I snagged 2 x DC34 hand held for £86.40 each, mainly for cleaning cat litter all over the floor etc
Hope I'm happy they do offer a returns policy, basically 1/2 amazon price. but off course battery lasts 15mins or less on 'turbo' mixed amazon reviews I think this is updated model.

I got the total clean for £176.80, shame the absolute was out of stock.

Animal has a motorized head. There are electrical connections that run through the connection pipe to power the head. I don't know if you get the pipe with the connections on the basic model (I doubt it), so you probably can't add one of the better heads later on.
I've just bought the V6 Total Clean direct from Dyson's website for £299. The Total Clean comes with an even more powerful motorized head (direct drive rather than belt drive), a motorized 'fluffy' head for hard floors and a motorized small head for stairs, sofas, etc. It's very good.
I sent Dyson an e-mail directly after buying the V6 asking if I was entitled to the free toolkit as an existing Dyson owner (I bought a DC19 in 2010). They replied saying that I should have ordered over the phone to get the free kit and that I would have also got a £20 discount. However, they went on to say that they'd refunded £20 and asked me where to send the toolkit (RRP of £65) - I think that's pretty good customer service!

V6 supplied with motorised head, Combination Tool, Rigid Crevice Tool.
V6 Animal supplied with *wider* motorised head, Combination Tool, Rigid Crevice Tool plus Mini Motorised Tool.
On Dyson's site you pay £100 extra for *wider* motorised head & Mini Motorised Tool.
So on eBay, the one from Dyson is somewhat better value than the Argos.

I ordered 8:30 last night expecting delivery today (as usually happens, amazingly), but just noticed est delivery date is 4th April. Just got an email that it's been dispatched together with a tracking number, but Parcelforce tracking isn't working. Anyone know if they deliver on Saturdays?

The last item from them I ordered was also despatched on a Friday and delivery said Monday - so thought I was safe going out Saturday but no,they tried to deliver at 9am Saturday so am expecting the same service this time (not necessarily the 9am delivery though :-p).
As I wasn't in they took it to my local post office branch so collected Monday morning.

Mine arrived this morning too. I didn't get any texts though, and delivery on ebay strill states Monday!. Anyhow, everything on mine looks brand new. They are really good quality and design, and really powerful. Mine was unknowingly set to the high power, and boy it filled the dust container very quickly! Battery ran out quickly too (about 10 minutes), but obviously not sure if fully charged. Now set to 'powerful' which is the lower setting. Really pleased and great value at £140 or whatever, thanks op.

Mine is defo used. Scratches on the casing of the main unit. The only thing that appeared new is the long extension. Need to test out and see, looks cool though.

I have hairs on my motor head thingy but works spot on :-D. Very happy with it and glad Tesco lied and didn't have the normal v6 in stock, otherwise wouldn't have bought this for £50 less :-). Heck, like I say was going to buy it without the discount anyway at £187 as still a fab price.

Just registered mine online for the warranty and it shows two years aswell. Great deal.
Think they have yes. Just checked mine and mine fits like DubDriver's where the wire goes up through the underside and inside, as opposed to your picture where the wire hangs out the back.

My charger came separated from the mount. You have to poke the low voltage end through the mount and clip the male part in the holder for it. And then feed the wire down the channels at the back of the mount, and then to a domestic plug. Otherwise if the mount is secured to the wall first it can't be charged when in the mount.
I got a 2 year guarantee too, so it says. I wonder if only one year will be honoured though?
grahamc2003
3 Apr 161#55
Sam, just seen the picture of your mount and it is different to mine. The route of the male part of the charger is different - yours has a hole where mine doesn't. Mine is solid where your wire goes to the male part, and my wiring comes from the back through the back casing and is therefore hidden, unlike yours. Does it actually charge when the main thing is in the holder? It doesn't seem to line up in your photo, in which case it may be the wrong holder altogether.
Sam2xp
3 Apr 16#56
Yeah there is no hole at the bottom of the mount for it to go through (or fit anywhere) and I am unable to charge it via the mount
That's a docking station for DC30, DC30 White, DC31, DC31 Animal, DC31 Animal Exclusive, DC34, DC34 Animal, DC34 Animal Exclusive, DC34 Complete, DC35, DC35 Animal, DC35 Complete, DC44 Animal, DC44 Animal, DC44 Animal, DC44 Animal Complete, DC44 Multi Floor, DC44 Origin

Ok thanks guys  I've sent them a message on eBay and they seem to be out of office so hopefully get a reply back on Monday. I wanted to have it mounted up somewhere but I guess that can wait now! and @DubDriver They seem to have sent me the correct charger so all is well there
grahamc2003

Yeah it's different on the underside. Yours seems to have a channel for the charger wire so it goes in at the bottom and out at the top (and then curls round fits in the hole pointing at the female bit to charge it, only yours doesn't line up). Mine has a channel on the back so the wire comes in at the botton, goes 90% of the way up, then goes through holes in the holder, and another in the 'flippy' bit, and then curls around hidden from view, and the male bit clips in position.
Sheesh, hard to explain! Ironically your first photo has the plastic fastener which holds the name of the quality control bloke (who may get a **** when you return it!).
I need to use mine in different places, so a fixed charger isn't ideal for me, and i was thinking of not wiring the charger in the frame, meaning i'd have to charge it out of the frame. A bit like your current situation.
Just an update. The nice people running that eBay account just decided to give me a brand new vacuum instead! They came and swapped with mine really quickly
