If you're buying this for the camera you're buying the wrong phone. I have the x5, camera is terrible, but all other aspects of the phone are great for the price. If anyone can point to a sub £100 phone with an acceptable camera I'd be surprised. Depends on your standards of course. Personally I'm always shocked by the pictures people take on even higher end phones that they think are good.

i have the X5 which is the same model but with 5inch, the camera is really terrible....wouldnt recommend it even at this price. cold from me.

I can't comment on this particular model but my mum and Brother bought the DG300.
The camera is appalling, you press the shutter and wait a full second before it takes a photo so don't move the camera. the photographs themselves are poor quality and if you think about shooting video on it, don't expect anything decent.
Remember, I'm telling you about a different model but Doogee do seem to put cheap camera lenses into there products.

I bought the X5, and using CameraHD it was great. Maybe my expectations were lower because I'd only paid £34 but it wasn't awful. If you like the horribly overprocessed rubbish that Instagram produces then I can see how you'd struggle with the results on most phones. This should go superhot for the money, but people are too afraid to leave Samsung or Apple these days. If you've got the money then go Motorola, if not Doogee or Bluboo are excellent for the amount paid.

bought x5 pro - was good, until dropped it and screen cracked. managed 3 yrs with moto G, without cracking screen.

Smart Prime 6 currently £49 would be my choice in this price range

There's not much in it. Plus I prefer a smaller screen

I had a Smart Prime and a X5 Pro. Sold the Smart Prime. The 2GB of RAM makes all the difference.

Of course it's debatable now the price has gone up! It was "debatable" even at £49, I was just saying it would be my choice at a similar price point.

Currently was no longer current at time of post, and the minimum £13+ SP6 unlock to match the out-of-box unlocked status of X6 pushes the SP6 way over any suggestion of similar price point, but your personal choice is acknowledged and respected :smiley: Not sure what model I would choose if I had max £50 to commit. Would prefer the comfort of a UK warranty, but could be swayed by better featureset with compromised warranty.

I bought this last week friday from the EU warehouse still waiting to receive. I am only concerned about the battery life. Cant wait to get it.

Doogee? **** more like. I understand some people have good experiences of this company but the build quality of the ones I've tried has been appalling, particularly the screen which was almost unusable. It made the ZTE smartphone I bought in 2013 look good and that one didn't have the best build quality either.

Seriously save your money and buy a decent brand like Xiaomi instead.

got the x5 pro for £34 build is fine and the only let down is the camera

I had the X5 pro and basically it was very hard to type because the touch wasn't accurate. It was kinds stick, quite hard to explain. In hindsight I should have videoed it before I got rid of the phone. I'm typing on my ZTE phone at the moment and this post would have taken about three times as long if this were the doogee one.

Not a bad spec for the money but would never use these cowboys again.

I have had 2 Doogee phones and wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Maybe they have improved but my experience with Doogee was Dodgy to say the least

Well, I thought this Co. Pay was pretty good when I ordered the x5 pro, yes it took a while but all was well in the end, placed a second order for a cube iwork8 ultimate tablet, they sent me one that clearly was used and scratched with fingerprints all over the screen protector and not the original one at that, apart from that it booted up fine for ten minutes, then was unresponsive and would not turn on, found a way to hard reset online, which brought it back to life, currently have an open claim with PayPal as really annoyed as this was meant as a gift for someone :disappointed: buyers beware :disappointed:

Doogee have only been going as a company since 2012, not really that established in the Chinese mobile phone market compared to the likes of ZTE, Huawei, UMI, Lenovo etc. Coupled with sales from Gearbest, it may only be £47 but a gamble, not the best reputation from either manufacturer or retailer.

I prefer the style of the Sony Z3 but my neighbour has one of these, my wife loves it and said she prefers the neighbours Doogee syle to mine and she said its also about 8 inch. I have looked on the net but cant find a screen bigger than 5 inch to be honest so i think she is wrong. Anyway my neighbour john said she can pop in at the weekend and have a play with lolipop or something and if she likes it i will order one next week. Happy Dayz

Good phone for the kids. quite flimsy and as per earlier comments, camera is very dodgy.. For adults it can be used as a back-up

Great phone at a great price for silly money! Only downsides are the rubbish cameras but if you want to spend 5 or 10 times more for that then you can! thx for posting op

As I said earlier in this thread I have a doogee x5 pro. If that makes me a snob to you, fair enough. I was trying to say I am a picture snob - I get sent family pics etc from people who take them on iphones and other high end camera phones, and to me they seem a compromise. Especially indoors or in low light they don't seem to be able to produce decent results to me. That's why I don't use a phone camera.

My experiences with Doogee was with the X5 Pro and to be honest it was a terrible phone in my opinion. As another poster has said the touch wasn't accurate and on mine i had to poke about 1cm lower than where i needed to be to hit the correct spot. Everything i typed took an eternity as it causes so many errors. Add that to the other slight niggles and i won't be buying Doogee until the reviews improve dramatically.

I ordered 2 phones from them 2 months ago and they still haven't arrived. I keep getting excuse after excuse from them about why they are delayed.

No it was definitely Gearbest who messed me about.
First it was in stock when I placed the order, then it wasn't, then it would be in week or twos time, then they weren't going to get anymore stock and wanted to give me store credit instead of a full refund to which i refused and then they changed their mind again and said they had stock after all and would ship it asap. But after another week or 2 had past nothing was shipped.
And right after I start a paypal dispute a week ago they apparently ship the order to me and so I'm sitting 2 months after placing the order with no phones, no refund and the prospect of having to wait at least another month to see if the phones turn up before I can hopefully get a refund if they don't.

what phone are you going to get instead.
