Lol, the 980ti SLI on their own will cost more than this whole computer. He never said this will be the fastest gaming PC in the world, so I don't see what the point is in mentioning that a rig which will cost at least £500 more than this is faster.

Hard drives do hum/buzz though secured or not. If you unplugged them it will stop. Not sure what you can do as i haven't been able to stop it. The cables for the drives might be pushed against the case.
I guess some cases are more prone to it.

If you press down a little on certain places of the case, the buzzing stops. All of my drives are well secured

I have a self build PC with the same Corsair 540 Carbide case. Lots of room and looks great but has an annoying buzz to it. I'm sure it needs unscrewing and rescrewing with something to dampen the vibrations, like a small bit of PTFE tape.

The buzz could be from a 3.5" drive you have installed.

You'll probably have a bit more headroom than 50w but it's still pushing it if you start adding more components and overclocking.

Asking or stating? If you're asking then you can't read I would guess as I obviously said Async Compute, if making a statement then you don't need the question marks as that is grammatically incorrect as you're not asking a question, and you used two as well, so wrong.
I think everything has been covered there, please reference all replies to my P.O. BOX 666.

The upgraded power supply is a bit of a ???.The two gpus and oclockd cpu will require that 850w 650 simply insufficient. many ppl have problems with 2xgpu as not all games will use them.Altho that should alleviate under dx12.
This looks more like a proto vr rig .. one gpu per eye?
adderrson to GwanGy
8 Mar 16#35
Yeah, I saw this thinking that the power supplys that they ship with either configuration is insufficient. That setup (xfire) would likely use around 800w under load and frankly I'd want more than 50w of headroom for overclocking and for any potential spikes in power draw to be on the safe side.

Good deal, could make it even sweeter by selling one of the extra GFX cards imo. I'd be tempted to sell both and get a 980Ti or equivalent from the next GPUs Nvidia release.

Strangely enough, I actually think this isn't a bad deal for once!
GPU x 2 = £510
CPU = £180
Cooler = £65
RAM = £60
Mobo = £100
Total, excluding HDD, SDD, OS, PSU, Case = £915
This is actually a pretty good deal and worth it if anyone needed it.

WUT ? I game at 4k with "just" a R390 and i5 non k 6600. Of course i dont get 60 fps in each and every title but saying you cant game at 4k is a load of shizzle.
More so if your used to crappy ps4 28fps at 900p like i am , ramp that up to 2160p at 31 fps and its a mind blowing experience in comparison.
This is a very hot deal , i paid 285 for my asus R390 just before xmas.

Actually the r9 390 is VR capable as is the GTX970, x2 in crossfire would be more so.
Seriously though if your wanting to game in VR or at 4K your going to spend a hell of a lot more than £1099. So quit your bitching.

Not sure I'd class the 850W as an upgrade, when a 650W would be woefully inadequate. Still think it's a good deal though ;-)

Seems good yes. PC gaming builds are very hard to get heat here because people with the mentality "just buy a console" auto vote cold, and also the ones who insist on building it yourself even if it works out the same price or more doing so (they'll say buy different components!)

It's a good deal mate, at the price, you can add and subtract from the configurator to add a little or remove the OS etc if you don't require it.
R9 390 is similar to GTX780ti or GTX970 in performance, so it's quite a lot of bang for your buck. The cards or also 8Gb cards so good for running at higher resolutions

Since we're going to forgo obvious assumptions, he never mentioned time either so you might as well have mentioned that two top-end Volta GPUs in SLI will be faster than this.
