Beautiful and practical, this Denby Everyday dinner set delivers all the durability and quality that you expect from Denby. Featuring a textured embossed design with a cool blue coloured matt glaze, the set is made from hard-wearing stoneware. The strong stoneware clay is fully vitrified, with a glassy and non-porous surface that gives it strength, durability and chip-resistance.
Made in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside using locally sourced clay, the beautiful colour on the rim of every plate is painted by hand. This 12-piece cool blue coloured set includes 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates and 4 cereal bowls. Equally suited to casual family dining or more formal entertaining, the beautiful set is freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe.
Dinner plate is 27cm in diameter, salad plate is 22.5cm in diameter and the cereal bowl is 17cm in diameter.
Enhance your Denby Everyday collection in cool blue with the addition of Denby Everyday mugs (621-9326) and Denby Everyday pasta bowls (643-0353). Other items are also available and the Denby Everyday collection also comes in black pepper and teal colour options.

Portmeirion 4 place porcelain dinner set reduced from £49 to £19.59 along with bubbles cutlery set for £5.99 (then 20% off code until midnight = £20.46 ; not a bad price either) @ Argos.

You have to be very careful these days that you are buying Denby made in England rather then their Denby made in the far east which is no where near the quality in comparison.

It used to be that if it was stone ware it was UK made but now they are making that abroad too. Hopefully like this deal they will clearly mark UK made. Tesco's are selling another Denby range (see link below) that retails at £20, its stone ware but I cannot see a country of manufacture, I presume that this is made abroad. Its a pity as Denby was always bullet proof, now you need to make sure its made in the UK to get that level of quality.
The only times I have broken any Denby is when I have knocked two pieces together, I have had plates bounce of off various floor types and not even chip.
Looks like they've sold out...'sorry we don't have enough Denby 12 piece... in stock right now' - great find, pity they've got such low stock on Tesco.com for this product.

Doesn't matter if it's made in UK..Bosnia..China or outer Mongolia...this stuff is NOT made at Denby. It is basically a cheap set made by another manufacturer which Denby take in and put their stamp on.
Think about it...for the price of this whole set you would be lucky to get ONE 'Actual' Denby plate.
You get what you pay for I'm afraid and this is NOT Denby pottery. It is a cheap set with a Denby stamp on.
Bit like buying a Skoda with a Porsche badge on. It may say Porsche, but it isn't one.

Actually you're highly likely to find a part in a Porsche thats the same as one in a Skoda which is something you won't find in this set...

If you buy real Denby it will be top quality. If you buy the cheap Tesco Box sets then you're not getting Denby made crockery. See above.
