Ok please don't think I have an alcohol in moderation problem with my last few deals but at £2.81 a bottle it's nearly as cheap as coke.... Sainsbury's have their buy 6 bottles get 25% off on until 20th March and Wollemi and Contenda wines are still at £3.75 so buy 6 get 25% off works out £2.81 a bottle but you pay £16.86. I like the Wollemi Shiraz and it has good reviews too but I am sure the wine police will shout me down. Contenda have Tempranillo rose, Grenache rose, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay and Wollemi have Shiraz and Chardonnay so surely something for everyone. Also worth adding that if you buy 6 bottles of anything you get the 25% off for any subsequent wine / port / sherry purchase in any quantity. I have teamed my six bottles with a magnum of prosecco for Easter Sunday lunch (£10.87 with discount) and a bottle of cockburns special reserve port (£6) so I will have a very cheap / merry Easter!

Impressed with the Wollemi Shiraz for £2.82. What a bargain. Wish I had ordered more than 4. I have a bottle of wot curlynob is drinking and a few others so looking forward to sampling over the next few weeks. Thanks op!
Cheers OP! Got two each of the reds today. Many thanks!

Coincidentally tried the Wollemi Shiraz at a friends last weekend and thought "this is really nice, will look out for it when it's on offer!" ... Have therefore ordered 12 btls to try via online delivery. Those that use Sainsburys online shopping regularly how does substitutions work? i.e I don't want 12 bottles of random £4 red wine! Thanks in advance.

If they substitute they charge the sub price not the price you ordered this is where is differs from Tesco and Asda. You can tick a box to say you don't want a particular item substituting though.

Limited sticks at my local store but after half a glass of Wollemi Chardonnay this evening I can report it's as rumbustious a glass of poison as I've ever tasted! Great deal at £2.81. Just realised the 25% finishes at the weekend - I'm back for another half dozen tomorrow.

Just got 18 bottles of the Wollemi Shiraz and £19 worth of shopping for just under £53 delivered using the discount CATNSLEAGM - £18 off a £60 spend

The Wollemi Shiraz is fine, not the best, but still very acceptable.
I bought a dozen today as I had a £3 off £30 coupon (thought it was £2 off £20).
12 bottles for under £31. Can't complain.

You can mix and match; Campo Viejo Rioja Tempranillo is on offer - therefore works out to £4.88 a bottle for what is often £8.
Thanks for posting.

Yes it's good. If I don't "need" wine I get 6 of the one glass 187ml bottles for presents and then get a bottle of port for 25% off too - it's not obvious that you don't have to buy 6 of the same and that you attract the 25% of everything over the first 6

Beware of the wine police.... I'd love them to do a blind taste test rather than judge on price / label. If you like it to me it doesn't matter what it costs - I prefer cava to champagne and I like my steak well done so I come up against it a lot

Ha, ha!! I'm not a wine expert, but appreciate a nice drop & have found the Wollemi Shiraz really nice. Also friends who've drank it with us have always complimented on it.

You haven't caused any hassle as far as I'm concerned, I searched the website for Wollemi and Contenda, it was no hassle as far as I'm concerned.

The Shiraz is actually really nice, I got it from tesco on their annual yellow sticker half price deal & was really pleasantly surprised.
A good, easy, drinking wine.
And I'm usually really fussy.
Even my dad likes it and he is used to drinking £10/bottle wines.

Sorry.... Just search contenda and wollemi and they will come up. I love it when people tell you they voted cold then you see they have posted 12 deals and made over 5900 comments most I'm guessing say cold!
