got one few months ago and it's absolutely useless... amount of time u loose to remove jammed ones from jaws or when it's no staples coming out or 2 at the time!!!!

Experience tells me that the 'was' price is nothing but hype.
I agree with others that advise against this stapler, both on price and quality.
It looks no different to the one available from Home Bargains for £5 and that one is hopeless for jamming and mis-firing.

I think you'll find when it says it's previously been on sale at the same price that it means it's been on offer at the lower price before - in other words the higher price isn't bull **** as you make out it is.
I don't know how accurate this is but in Ireland they appear to have a price history checker for Argos items - similar to camel camel for Amazon but for Argos Ireland-
This item fluctuates a lot in price as do a lot of Argos items and I'm pretty certain they cannot fool people by stating the 'was' price is nothing but hype - I think you'll find that's not correct.
Is this the same as the one people are banging on about in home bargains? Possibly yes but also possibly no, the reviews on this one are good 304 reviews and 4 out of 5 stars - surely if it was crap the reviews would reflect?
I don't work for Argos btw just thought I'd share what I think is a decent deal for those that might need one.

Should be OK but but staples will rust eventually.
