Cetraben is an alternative to E45, used for very dry skin and eczema. Cetraben lotion 50ml is down to £1 from £4.99 and 475ml is down to £3 from £12.99. I hadn't tried the cheaper alternatives to E45 so tried this at this price and it is just as good. Less oily actually as it is a lotion. They do creams also but my store had none.
Boots are discontinuing this so this may be nationwide. They are in date products.

Cetraben isn't a cheap alternative, it's what the NHS use, I have it on prescription, I think it's better than E45.

The NHS used to prescribe Aveeno until the E45 manufacturers rallied against it. Cetraben is very good, not as good as Aveeno but far better than Dermol/ Diprobase and without the inherent burning of E45. I suspect it'll follow the same route as Aveeno and be dropped. Boots will be rubbing their chapped hands with glee
