I've had several cheap toasters over the years and never been happy so I bought a classic type Dualit, makes perfect toast very fast, and couldn't be simpler to use. Not really relevant on this thread though as they cost over £100 (don't bother with the cheap version they're no better than any other cheap toaster), they do however pretty much last for life as every part is replaceable, so in the long run no more expensive than buying and replacing cheap ones.

I bought this at xmas, we really don't like it, the settings are difficult to get the desired toast, you go from undercooked to burnt in two notches. And it seems to not cook the top two centimetres of the toast. I wouldn't recommend this product personally.

I always buy just the 2 slice ones......they take up less space on the worktop and when we need more toast we just dig out another one from the cupboard. Plus if one breaks we still have a spare (that's my kind of logic anyway).
