Sorry I'm going by my Bosch multitool which lasted five minutes from new only it was a common fault, Bosch didn't want to know

was it the "blue' or 'green' Bosch range. I hear nothing but praise for the blue pro stuff.

Was that the wire on the coil breaking in half? Mine did that yesterday. Made me spend a couple of hours repairing and wasted a lot of my day! Should be a recall

Bosch don't have to know. You return it to where you bought it from.

i've had quite a few bosch professional range tools and they have all lasted a long time, in fact i haven't had one fail on me yet. mine get used very heavily as i'm in the construction industry so i like to think they are put through a very stern test

Bosch diystuff is no better than competitors but the pro stuff is really good. For sds pro drill at this price it's heat from me.

Bosch used be decent but the recent pro range isn't a patch on what it used to be. 3 items have now broke down on us after just over 12 months.

In that case get them replaced or repaired, Bosch Professional series have a warranty far longer than 12 months.

This is a good deal for 110V user. My tuppence worth regarding Bosch quality; years ago the green was excellent (I have a couple ancient green drills that won't die) and it's certainly not the same now as it was. The blue is normally good gear but have heard of people having bad reliability from some cordless blues.

The blue pro range lasts your years . I have a jigsaw and planer and both still going strong jigsaw 7 years and planer 5 years . Blue = quality , green = DIY junk

Went to B&Q and they said there was a recall on the Bosch multi tool so if anybody experience the same problem they were quite happy to exchange it for the newer version

you get a 12 month warranty as standard but if you register the tool online within a certain time frame (i think it's 30 days) you will get an additional 2 years

Bosch have devalued their brand by churning out too much rubbish IMO.
My green (£140) 24V drill lasted for 3 uses and was just out of warranty prior to the majic smoke escaping.
Will stick to Makita from now on for proper tools, manufacturers should make tools fit for the job and not engineer inbuilt faults and weakness.
