Going to build an 18x10 shed soon so in the market for a reasonable drill, would like opinions please.

Opinion? I bought this about 6 months back. Built a timber workbench with it, drilled some holes in various other stuff - bricks, metal etc. Worked fine and still works fine.

They have a 45 day refund policy. If it drops then buy it and refund other one. Worked for me before when I bought wallpaper for £15 a roll and the it dropped to £3. Eeek

The bonus with this vs last time it was on offer is the 2 x 2.0ah batteries you get.
Some people say that build quality is what makes a power tool last but thats only half true. The other half is knowing how to use and look after it. (ie ive had a non branded £12 angle grinder for 6 years now still going strong)
This drill will be fine for you building that shed. Plenty of power for what you will be drilling and screwing.

Homebase have this for 3p cheaper and I've got nectar points to spend this but with 2 x 1.5Ah batteries, can some one (montana78 :wink:) confirm that this does indeed have the 2.0Ah batteries?

Yeah if someone could double check, because these look the same as the ones listed on amazon and Homebase but will higher rated batteries.

I've had this for a couple of years (was originally around £100) - the Li-ion batteries stay charged well even if not used for several months (at least) so it's always ready to go unlike the old NiCad battery driven drills. The 1.5aH batteries last a good while in use too. Decent enough power for even light drilling into brick for the occasional job.
Having the 2 batteries helps too so that even if you've got a massive job on (decking etc) one can be on charge while you're using the other - they don't take long to recharge either.
Bargain at £65.

Very true. Not a bother if you have 2nd battery.
1.5ah = 300 screws
2.0ah = 400 screws
By that time other battery would be fully charged.

Looks good for money but if you not on budget maybe get Stanley one for £20 more from homebase as it has 13 Nm more torque and metal gear box.
The home based is same as amazon one with 1.5 ah
I'd pay the 3p extra;)

I bought one of these a year ago or so on another offer. It is utterly brilliant. I have never found the motor lacking in power and the quick charge and the fact that it keeps its charge from, job to job is the really important thing for me as I only need it every now and again and it is always ready to go.

My friend lent me his 18v Bosch when I refurbished my house. Used around 1000 screws to screw down floorboards to lay the laminates.
Has anyone got one from B&Q Lately and do they come with a 2.0 batteries or 1.5?

I'm tempted to replace my ryobi cordless drill with 1.3a batteries which works perfectly well,but charge time is 3 hours, however it gives 50nm torque but the Bosch is 38nm. My Ryobi works good but the batteries can let it down and the charge time is so slow....

B&Q had sold out of the PSB 1800 but had the better spec PSB 18 in stock at £100. Luckily went to Homebase and picked up the PSB 18 for £64.97. Better drill with 54nm torque

PSB 18 is the older model with the problem of the loosening chuck.

Absolutely shocking customer service from B&Q. Went for click and collect today and they didn't have a bloomin delivery. They offered me no alternatives in store and told me to call customer services. Called them up (25 mins of waiting) and all they did was blame their email system. Problem is, the online stock check doesn't work, so they are misleading customers!
All they offered me was a £5 gift voucher. Never buying anything from those guys again!
