Been some good Bosch deals lately, this is a bit niche being 10.8V but normally retails around £140, so worth a deal post I hope:

Received mine but disappointed the drill will not stand up on the battery. The impact driver does but not very stable so will be returning and purchasing the Dewalt set instead.

Dewalt stopped made making their tools in the USA in 2002 and started making them in China and other places. Ever since then the quality has dropped and become poor. Bosch and Makita are still very good, Festool and Mafell are even better.

In what way is the Bosch 'much' better?
Biggest factor for me is probably whether you've already got one or the other, I opted for the DeWalt primarily because I had an 18v, and the 10.8v uses the same charger, so now I have 2 chargers for 4 batteries, and the T-Stak box attaches nicely to the 18V box.
Other than that, I'd have opted for either the Bosch or the Makita, only because they come in cheaper, the DeWalt, Bosch and Makita 10.8v twin sets are VERY hard to split IMO, they are virtually identical.

I got one of these sets just before Christmas when it was reduced to £134.89 and at that price it was still a bargain. It works really well, and even the builders working on my house were impressed with it and used the impact driver nearly all day. It comes with the moulded LBoxx. If you have more tools in this range the boxes clip together. When I bought my set it was included in that month's Bosch Bonus Bang for a £10 or £15 rebate (you download Bonus Bang onto a smartphone) but I've just checked and it isn't included this month.

I got the combi drill last year for around £60. It's a fantastic tool and the 4Ah battery is worth buying too as it gives it better balance. My Makita 18v combi has been left at the back of the van ever since.

This also has a hammer action so can drill into masonry which I think is not the case with the Dewalt 10.8v twin pack.

IMO the hammer action on these 10.8v drills is pointless, before getting the DeWalt I tested the Makita 10.8v Combi, 5mm drill bits into aerated blocks or mortar was its limit, handy I suppose if you didn't have a bigger combi though...

Agreed, pointless using cheap drill bits, a cheap drill works remarkably better with a decent bit, likewise an expensive drill isn't worth **** with a crap bit.

Sure, but not near this price I expect.
Decent drill bits definitely help, the Bosch multi bits are good.
DeWalt 10.8 is available with 2.0Ah batteries also.

had my 1.3ah kit for nearly 5 years and it has been faultless in both home and work use.
Finally got to make use of the 3 year warranty on my gop multitool, emailed late Wednesday, confirmed Thursday for Friday pickup and back with me Tuesday with new motor and controller fitted so 5/5 for warranty service.
I think the prices are dropping as they are doing brushless motors in the new ones so the old stocks being sold off.
Dunno if extra torques needed as I have driven in plenty of 12g 3.5" screws into hardwood like it is going into cheap softwood.

This is a good deal. :sunglasses: I paid around £60 each for my Bosch professional drill & driver over two years ago and they've been great for most DIY jobs around the home and garden.
Batteries last a long time stay charged for ages when not in use.
I don't know if this deal includes the L- boxx but, if it does than its a real bargain.
Edit: I see it does contain an L-boxx! That's £30 saved there!

Agreed some of the DeWalt stuff is quite underrated.
Both the Makita and Dewalt 10.8v kits have 1.3Ah batts, whereas this kit has 2Ah. 50% more batt power is quite useful I expect, especially with 10.8v.
