I always think about games in terms of hours played. £60 to watch a 90 minute football match in the rain. £7.99 to play a game for 100 hours+?? Work out the cost then and its pennies.

I paid this price before Christmas for it. I used to think I prefer the hard copies rather than downloads but it makes changing games a lot easier as I can sit on my a$$ without having to get up an change the discs!
It's excellent value for £7.99.

Good price but it's worth waiting for the Premium version to go on sale, that's where most people are playing nowadays.

Premium Edition is better value at £15.99. This gets you all the extra downloadable content packs too - and there's a lot.

The campaign mode imo isn't worth playing unless you want trophies. Online is fantastic.

Great, great game online but the campaign is still suffering from major bugs. After this much time you have to think they are there for good now. Definitely wouldn't buy to play campaign though.

What bugs? The only issues I remember (now fixed) was I'd often start an online game with an invisible gun. Usually cycling guns it would then appear.

EA has confirmed there will be one last patch for the game. The support this game has is unbelievable.

Personally wouldnt bother with the premium version now. Most of the dlc maps are dead bar metro. theres more than enough in the base game so just get that. Besides bf5 will most likelu be out later this year.

Managed to get BF4 + premium off the Canadian store a few weeks back for not much more

One of the best all time shooters on the consoles.

The story mode is one of the most broken games I've ever played. I paid £9.99 for the download from ps store and because of how broken it was I reckon it wasn't even worth that. I wouldn't buy it given the chance again for any amount of money

I think I'm about to buy this but when you say "so much entertainment" do you mean so much multiplayer entertainment? I am hoping for a single player campaign that's ever so slightly more impressive than the one in Call of Duty Ghosts - something I watched my friend complete over the course of just 2 sessions - and am entirely uninterested in multiplayer.

How come no interest in the multiplayer? I find the single player games on these and any COD as well to be too linear. There are way too many cut scenes where you have to sit and watch some long and drawn out uninteresting story play out. I do play through the single player games though but for a quick 20-30 minute blast the multiplayers can't be beaten.

Do you know the split between dlc maps and the basic maps? Just trying to get a feel of whether the premium is worth it considering this will be a casual online game for me as none of my friends own it despite me pushing it!

I just really love single player - in every genre of game. Always have and always will. I'm feeling far too neglected by developers these days with their token single player content. Not everyone WANTS to mingle with hormonal 14 year olds ya know?

I'm not sure I could honestly recommend it for the single player. The single player in games like BF and COD are essentially a tutorial for the multiplayer. Only get this for the multiplayer.

just got it myself last week - played BF3 on xbox 360 & previous on PC. TBH none of the campaign are that good on any but it's OK. multiplay is good though - worth the money.

Seems to be I'm the only person that enjoyed the campaign and experience next to no problems and that's not including the hundreds of hours I've put into conquest online. Ive owned it on ps4 since launch day and loved the game ever since, and just recently subscribed to ea access on my xb1 to blast through the campaign again and it's still just as enjoyable as the first time.

​The swimming part is almost impossible, swimming backwards etc is the only way of getting through it with a button orders at the exact point or you get pushed back. The part when you are in the tank and the save points are few and far between considering how ridiculously difficult that part is. The part when ur on the ship and get blocked in by crap AI and have to restart.... U could go on but probably won't have the space!

I've got premium and for those wondering if it's worth the extra I'd say not really. The core volume of players are still on the base maps so get this standard edition. Excellent game. Ignore reviews as they were written on release when the game was broken. All fixed now and smooth as. Great fun in a squad with friends (on mics) so add me on psn if you like Nettle_Warrior

Thanks been looking at this for a while , purchased now. New to ps4 (ps1&2then switched allegiance to Xbox 360 - back on PS!) looks like a great multiplayer , been on SWBF for a few months and having grown up on COD and MOH wanted to get a machine gun in hand! Nice one OP.

It's just not an accurate comment though.

There are plenty of busy servers, including lots of private ones playing a range of maps. I say this as someone who mostly plays hardcore mode and seeks out one particular map to play on - Pearl Market - and I never fail to find a match without even browsing servers outside of Europe.
