Picked up Batman Begins brand new sealed 2 Disk Blu Ray DVD at Banbury store (the one in town next to Matalan - there is also a new bigger Poundland store about half a mile away). There were about 15 left of these titles left.
The bluray is brand new and not the replay / pre view ones. Dvd stock is usually national.
Also loads of new James Bond Die Another Day 2 disk Special Edition DVDs and then the usual pre-watched and C list titles.
Thx

My local 99p store closed down a couple of weeks ago, and reopened as a poundland - bloody inflation!!
But on the plus side they now stock blurays like this

Have picked up some decent blue rays over the past couple of months in pound land.
Die hard, Hills have Eyes, 28 weeks Later and Chronicle.
Anybody spotted this one in the Plymouth branch. Heat added

Best of the Bale Batman films even though Dark Knight gets all the credit.

TDK gets all the credit because Heath Ledger died just before it released in cinemas. Don't get me wrong the Joker was great and the film had tension, but there are some glaring problems I find imo such as the hospital being completely empty before it is blown up, and someone please give Batman a lozenge.

I just bought all the batmans, need to have a marathon one day. I liked the older ones as much as the newer ones in their own more comical way.

Lol - Just realised why they were cheap - the Ultra Violet / UV code for digital copy on the back cover has a redemption date of June 2014 (old batch) so I take it they cant be (legally) sold in the more main stream stores.
But then again I didn't buy it to download the movie and squint at a small hand held device - it was so that the picture can be blown up in all it's glory on 50 inch plus and sound channeled. Then there is the 15 special features, one of which is in HD. So will be feet up this weekend.
Enjoy.

Always worth trying the UV code anyway, as some studios still work long after the official redemption deadline date (e.g. Man of Steel.....it was cheap, ok!!!!).

Revisited this film again last year or so and I realised that this was the best Batman film ever.

Hi - thx
The 12 certificate label has 'Irish Film classification office' on it - and 'IRL' on the disks inside next to the '12' - perhaps an Ireland /UK import thing hence cheap??
I've opened enough DVDs in my time to know this is brand new - even then a used Blu Ray for £1 would still be good value for film this awesome and atmospheric. Reviews on line detail great spec, detail and clarity.

So it has the WB logo on the factory seal, yes? It's a fairly simple process of re-shrink wrapping a blu-ray - whether they want to bother with the "replay" thing or not.

Very rarely see any Blu-Rays in the 4 Poundland stores near me but good deal if you can find one.
