Just had a look at the t&cs not sure if it says... But can you purchase highstreet gift cards, pay with you own money and still get the Argos free vouchers? I.e. Say I buy £100 Debenhams gift card from Argos, pay on my credit card, do I still get £10 free Argos voucher? But the free voucher can not be used to pay for more vouchers or can be but will not qualify for anothe free one?

I will never understand how these Argos deals get so hot. It's not even a 10% off voucher. It's a 10% off voucher on your next spend with quite a quick expiry date and you have to spend £50 first to even get it. It's just not that good is it?

The last time I looked at one of these from Argos they weren't vouchers but you had to sign up with a third party which would then start charging you. If this is the same its cold from me - they wanted my credit card info :-(

See what you're saying but not quite right (but can be).
1. Spend £50 and get a fiver off voucher
2. Return to store and buy something for £5 and use voucher.

Total store price for two visits = £55
Total cash spent including voucher = £50

Discount = 0.0909090909090909%

I said "As you HAVE to spend at least £50 first and can only spend it on a return trip to the store it works out at less than 10%" then gave an example to explain. My point was it's not even a 10% discount; it's less.

I do not think the vouchers are a great deal as it would be a lot better getting £10 your purchase there and then.Just a scam to get people to come back and spend even more

Just realised my discount amount should be 9.09090909090909% in the calculation I made. This is the maximum discount percentile you could obtain whilst utilising the full amount of the discount voucher on the 2nd visit.

I was just about to write the exact same thing. Seems like a bit of a farce to me. The return visit to shop to buy something you probably don't even want would immediately negate the saving when you factor in fuel, time, parking... Surely?

I made my order online from my armchair.... I got a £10 voucher on my first order, which I put to use 10 minutes later on my 2nd online order, I didn't even break a sweat and I had a cup of tea in hand :laughing:
Like most of the good hotdeals not everyone will want to be using them; but that doesn't make them bad deals.
This particular offer is coinciding with the Easter holidays, and there are some good promotions on at Argos at the moment, so combined with the voucher deal there is potential for nice little savings to be made.
If I had bought my items yesterday I would have paid £43 more than I paid today because I waited for the offers I saved £33 in Easter price reductions and saved £10 with my voucher. I also got another voucher on my 2nd order. I don't have anything in mind to spend this on just yet, but I won't buy something for the sake of it, but its nice to know that if I do need something or if I see a deal on here in the next month I have my £5 voucher ready to spend. :smiley:

Can some of the experts here advise please? If I go instore to order an online home delivery only product (costs over £50 or £100) will I receive a £5/£10 giftcard? If so will the giftcard be usable instore or an online use only giftcard?
