Dropped along with price at Currys however this still includes the 2 year guarantee, and peace of mind should it not work out for you which makes it a better deal.
When I picked up in store it was on the till for £269 however they matched with the site but said the store / website should be the same.

eBay offer posted earlier today at £169 is better IMHO.
I purchased a used iPad Air 2 16gb + cellular for £250 on eBay. That was a deal. The Air 1 is worth no more than £150 IMHO, considering the Air 3 or Air Pro is due this month.

I think that anyone thinking of buying this should wait, because Apple is announcing the new iPad on March 21st. Hopefully it means that this and and the Air 2 will be significantly reduced, especially since they are a bit old now.

10 Mar 16#29
Not necessarily so! Some rumours say that the new iPad this month will be a smaller iPad Pro which may not supersede the Air 2.
As the Air and Air 2 are quite similar this deal is still an excellent buy at this price!

Some may want to consider this option from Amazon with double to storage (32GB) for another £50:
IOS 9 ruins this tablet, turns it from something slick and fast to a Samsung tablet experience.
maui to fishmaster
10 Mar 16#34
Mine had 9.1 from factory, then I upgraded to 9.2.1 and did factory defaults before setting up (all from iTunes) and it's OK, however I do occasionally notice a lag / freeze which I would likely expect is down to the 1GB of RAM on this. It's not as smooth as my 6s imo.
I'll see how it goes before I decide if it's worth keeping or ditching for Air 2 when announcements are done.

This tablet IS a Samsung more or less. Don't kid yourself you're buying an Apple product - they just put in the order for Samsung's retina screens, slap their own logo on the back and watch the suckers queue round the block.

The mechanics of whether this is a deal says this is hot, right - I mean - where can you buy cheaper?! so the temperature of this deal racks right up. And rightly so I guess.
But at the end of the day, £250 for a tablet is nothing to get excited about at all. Its a tablet; you do tablety type things on it, big deal - why spend £250 for the pleasure? Obviously, if you dont have any money pressures then no worries - you can still pat yourself on the back at getting a 'good deal'

My daughter has an Ipad Air, my wife an Air 2 - i have to say that i dont notice any difference when using either ,may be if you play a lot of games you would , but for using internet , watching movies etc both just work well, so i would not be bothered about it being an old model.
There are other cheaper makes out there and I used to be a new release nexus chaser but from experience Apple products might not have the highest or latest spec but they do just work and are a lot less hassle than Android devices and the quality of a lot of (not all) apps seems better.

These were £249 on Black Friday (Dixons Travel) and Sainsbury's cleared their stocks for around £212 recently (deal was on here). So I guess 16gb to be discontinued, but 32gb to stay and Air 2 replaced with Air 3.
If you're worried about memory (not RAM) then I use the sandisk wireless stick and it works well (these were also on half price offer at Argos at Christmas).
DO NOT BUY THIS - It's 2 1/2 year old technology and even some features of the current iOS do not work on this model. A new iPad Air will be announced on 21st March.

Cases wise, I picked up a pretty good 'Star Wars' one in Sainsburys two weeks ago for £4.50. It's pretty tasteful, with just a vague millennium falcon on the back and is pretty strong and protective for the money.

I recently bought my daughter an apple watch and a week later it dropped £50 as was reported on here. I rang them and they said that they honour price matches up to 30 days - including themselves! Result. Got the £50. Now.... my outlaw had a Basil Fawlty branch wielding moment recently and his iPad was wrecked (hit with a rock kind of wrecked). So he bought himself another (an expensive lesson) at £329.
