Yes and my Chromecast is awful. There's a big quality difference between sending the phone screen to the TV and just using Fire TV.

Seeing as this is over twice the price of the chromecast, could someone tell me why this is better aside from being 4K?

With chromecast you have to have another device to stream. Eg. PC, etc.
This is completely standalone or does both.

Booked marked that as well
My link worked when shown to Amazon on faulty 20 month old headphones, but yes I have heard about the 6 year warranty, could prove difficult arguing over a set of £30 headphones and returning 5 years later.
Worth considering Argos - at £64.99 and currently 10% cashback if bought in-store with registered cards - until 10th April.

Plus £5 voucher as it's over £50

Kodi don't do next day delivery at Amazon. Amazon Prime does. I am not saying Kodi is a replacement for Prime but Amazon Prime does give things Kodi doesn't. Some people don't want the hassle of checking for other methods of viewing when one fails e.g. when Genesis stops working.

Also depends what you choose to watch. If you pick something currently in cinemas then expect either a non-working stream or terrible cam job. For films I tend to go for 2015 or earlier as these will likely be Blu-ray rips.

What do you mean "They don't do next-day delivery at Amazon"?

Just put Mobro .apk on Google Drive and then put Google Drive on the Firestick and install the .apk and thank me later
Just goto Addon Installer, Featured Addons and you'll find Exodus in there ...

Was going to say the fall of Genesis had left my firestick not being used much (use Phoenix a bit). Didn't realise there's a good replacement now. Do you just download the plugin separately or use a build?

How is the fire TV compared with ultra smart HDTV

Since Genesis got replaced by Exodus it works superb now.
Even Movie4k seems pretty good just now too.

I do have Kodi installed but they don't do next day delivery at Amazon etc.. I tend to use Amazon Prime over Kodi at the moment though. Kodi is good but sometimes can be a pain as you mess around for a while trying to find something with a working stream so use it for the occasional film. It's quite nice to just be able to choose what you want and watch it without a hitch on Amazon.

Just checked Currys and Tesco and of course Amazon; they've also got this down to £65 - so you've plenty of options.

Do you know of someone that has had issues with the analogue sticks peeling?. I've two controllers; one is 18 months old and the other is about a year old - neither are worse for wear.

So, is this just basically like the Apple TV box then?

and these can be rooted if i read correctly. Either way - side load Kodi +Showbox and all is good. 5.1 + 4k out too - nice! (think 4k is limited to 30fps?)
