Far better bread available for 50-75p, proper spread like lurpak £2, cheese no need for 2 blocks, ham same price anywhere. You can't compare the price of a home made sandwich to that of shop bought one to justify the deal. Also, if you want to eat the same thing everyday of the week then you crack on. Must be fun in your house.

Jez, why people vote cold, £5 , that is four days to five days of packed lunch, which would save £5X4 = £20 at a sandwich shop potentially....? What is this crazy world ..

Unless you have to have warburtons can easily be done at this price or cheaper elsewhere.

Does anyone know of any recipes that could use all these ingredients?

Aldi or Lidl 'Toastie' bread for around 55p mark. Tastes better than warburtons/hovis/kingsmill etc imo and lasts longer too.

Bread for 50p? Really? Is it so hard you could kill a passing seagull with it if you threw it?

not a good deal. think how many shops do BOGOF deals and they don't get hot here. this is a small discount for a very specific group of items. it's a false sense of value being sold as a package

A colleague of mine told me she would make her husband a batch of ham & cheese sandwiches on a Sunday night, freeze 4 of them and give him the unfrozen one for the Monday, then would get out a frozen sandwich every other morning. By the time he at them at lunch time they had fully defrosted. Worked for her!

For some time now I have my sandwiches with the required fillings but without any spread, commando like. Does that mean they no longer qualify as butties?

I agree on the pricing but you sound like a brand spokesperson with that line about Lurpak.
