Really want to play this but not sure I could handle it with my anxiety issues, I'd probably have a fit lol.

I have the standard version but couldn't really get into it.
Maybe I need to play it a bit more to immerse myself into the story but ugly interface is quite off putting.

Good price but I just couldn't seem to enjoy this game and found myself not wanting to play it (too much sneaking around for my liking). I seem to be in the minority however!

I too Really want to play it but haven't... Except I didn't think I had anxiety issues.
That would explain a lot though...

After the initial panic attacks and only playing in 30min intervals you kind of get used to the Alien and how it operates - now I just casually strut around while it runs at you - quick blast with the flamethrower and it retreats. Best advice I got was to stick with it as it does get better (storywise it does, gameplay stays pretty much the same)

Good price with all the DLC. Physical base game has been around £10 so I'll wait for that, already have the DLC from when I owned the game at release and wouldn't mind revisiting to get the Platinum trophy

It is £10 - would you say the DLC is worth the extra fiver?

Amazing game and the atmosphere is top notch, especially if you're a fan of the films.

I loved it. Great game. Never been so scared of dying in a game, hiding in cupboards for what felt like hours.
It inspired me to watch the film's again as they got the atmosphere spot on. Its has its issues but it's a must play in my mind.

Excellent price. My GOTY last year with plenty of pant soiling, atmosphere and attention to detail.

Brilliant game, massively atmospheric. I dare anyone to play it in a dark room with headphones.
My only gripe was why did they put an 'are you sure?' message on the save screen, that did take you out of the immersion a tiny bit. However a modern classic and well worth this price I say!

To be honest, haven't played the DLC. But it looks like you get Crew Expendable level based on Alien film (which was with the standard physical Nostromo edition), Last Survivor (level based on the end of Alien, where you play as Ripley - came with the Game-exclusive Ripley Edition of the disk), and 5 challenge maps. The challenge maps were filler and Crew Expendable was supposed to be meh, but Last Survivor was supposed to be pretty good, so worth the extra fiver.

Is this technically a walking simulator? I've never played it.

If you wanted to simulate walking then getting eviscerated by an Xenomorph that is stalking you.....then yes! :stuck_out_tongue:
Jokes aside, no. It is a survival horror set in the universe from the film Alien and is very tense and atmospheric. Great for fans of the Alien series

I would say it's more a power restoration simulator. Still good though.

There are guns in this game so it does actually have gameplay unlike walking simulators but i'm not sure you can use weapons on the Alien.

If there's ever a VR version of this I'll have to buy adult nappies.....
