Green Man Gaming currently have Alien Isolation at 75% off making it £7.99 but if you use the code STORML-ESS20S-VEGAME you get 20% off that price. Bringing the total down to £6.40
The 20% off code will probably apply to most, if not all, games in their sale.

I wouldn't say I agree or that I'm now well informed. I haven't found a post where "Activision warn against using GMG", but maybe that's within one of the search results, that's why its best to provide a precise link with the information that proves your point. GMG now state the source of each key and they seem to be an authorised distributor for most publishers, if not Activision. Sega is definitely on the list, so not sure how any of this crap is relevant to this particular deal.

15 minutes isn't very impressive. If you'd been playing the original Half-Life, or Half-Life, 2 you might have given up at the starts and missed out on playing fantastic games.
The whole point of games like Alien Isolation is to get you completely immersed in the universe and atmosphere. So that once bad things do start happening the shock/horror is intensified and all the more engaging. In the same way they did with the original Alien film (and Aliens).
You might like 'Monstrum' it's exactly the same kind of game mechanic, but from the very start you are trapped (on a ship) with a monster, and may be (un)lucky enough to run into it well before 15 minutes into the game.

I agree that 15 minutes is a sad effort, however it just didn't engage. However I don't think you can judge me on what kind of "gamer" I am based on that statement...
I have competed in the World leagues for StarCraft & StarCraft 2 (my user name is LV426 ), you certainly need patience for that kind of gameplay!

I don't think it makes either of us those things, its just generally accepted that if somebody states something they should be able to back it up with a source, I did take the trouble to google it after your reply but as I say I still can't find anything stating that those publishers "have warned against using GMG". I'm guessing you can't either and are insulting me as a diversionary tactic?
Anyway this is dull and pointless, but maybe get Elevator to give you more info next time if you're gonna be his errand boy.

Perhaps my fault there. When I see something new to me and I'm not sure it's true, I generally just hit ctrl-t to check for myself. I don't know if that makes you overly-lazy or me overly-polite, but that's just what I'm used to doing. Sorry!
For example, Spark's earlier comments about the CDPR/GMG situation being resolved - I've spent about ten minutes trying to prove Spark right without any further help from them, because shouldn't that be the Internet way? Everyone helping everyone, or at least not bothering them for exceptionally-simple tasks?
Sadly, I've yet to come up with anything, which then forced me to ask Spark for a link. But considering their mistakes with the Ubisoft list update timing, I'm starting to think Spark was just spouting nonsense. :disappointed:
(I think that everyone knows CDKeys aren't an authorised reseller, but with GMG it's a relatively new issue that they're hit and miss.)

Honestly dude, stop trying to be a smug ****. You made a statement and I asked you to back it up, you then told me to Google it, that's not how it works. If you want to accuse a company of something then it's perfectly reasonable to ask you to provide precise information.
I asked where Activision had 'warned against using GMG', but all you have provided is confirmation that they are not an authorised Activision retailer, not quite the same thing. Also not being an authorised retailer does not necessarily mean they are selling grey keys.
Not sure why this issue seems to crop up with GMG deals yet people seem perfectly happy with deals from the likes of CD Keys.

First of all, a quick apology. I assumed that before, when you said you had "googled" it, you had not only typed all fourteen characters into Google, but also clicked on any of the links that came up. This presumption on my part lead me to the wrong conclusion that you had weighed the evidence and produced an informed, intelligent, worthwhile comment as a result. My mistake.
So, when those ten links came up for you in Google, you thought that the information "maybe" inside one of the results? It's a good guess. I just took nearly a minute to check, and there are direct links within nine of the top ten results. As I mentioned before, just let me know if you need more help Googling stuff. I wasn't being mean. I know some people are differently-abled, and of course I'm happy to help people work through their handicaps.
Personally, I think it requires more context, so it's best to take a minute to learn more about the issues - to see what aroused suspicion, and to see GMG's side of the story. Things are rarely black and white. But if all you wanted was Activision's statement, there it is!
You're welcome. :innocent:

HotUKDealer's told me this would never be so cheap so quick! Heat for the deal, sadly I got bored before I even got to see the alien (after about 15 minutes gameplay), haven't tried completing it since...

What! Can't believe you gave up on it that early. Great game, very atmospheric and the game music and effects make the game for me. The alien is not predictable and makes for a very tense experience.
Personally a bigger fan of Alien but do love Aliens too. If you do like the franchise you'll love this game given it a chance.

What did you expect in just 15 minutes when this game can provide more than 20 hours gameplay ? I suspect you are probably more of a FPS gamer than a stealth & action-adventure gamer but nonetheless that was a fairly sad effort.

Ah, so we're agreed it's true - more of an "FYI" rather than an "accusation", wouldn't you agree?
If it was something that was difficult to find a source for, or something that was not particularly well-known, I would take your point that it would be faster for you to ask for help finding the information. But when it's literally all ten results of the first page of results when googling 'GMG Activision', surely you can see why I'm surprised you needed me to help you. :man:
As am I. But isn't it a nice feeling being able to make an informed decision about whether to use them or not?
"No way" GMG could have been added to that list recently, indeed. Completely impossible that they might have forgotten to change the update info! But thank you for sharing your earlier link. It's always handy to have this sort of information about retailers, isn't it.
Anything about Activision, by any chance? And you mentioned that the problems between CDPR and GMG were "resolved" - I'd love to see a link for that. (Yes, I have tried to find it myself. No, nothing comes up about it being "resolved".)

At HUKD user Elevator's request, here is a warning that GMG are not authorised resellers of all of their keys. Publishers including Activision, Ubisoft and CD Projekt Red have warned against using GMG.
Good price, though! Hot! Especially if you have decent headphones.

Elevation talks nonsense and has been a long term member of my ignore list for a reason. GMG are a licensed reseller and feature on Ubisoft's official list for example.
There were some issues between them and CDPR over The Witcher 3 but that was more of a mix up than anything else and did get resolved.

And why can't Elevator post this themselves. I know there was a little issue with CD Projekt Red, but can you link proof regarding Activision and Ubisoft saying this?

Again, nonsense.
I don't have access to Ubisoft's private change control files but the link I posted publicly states that the list hasn't changed for almost a year. Hence there is no way that Ubi could have added GMG to that list within "the last couple of months".

The top ten results if you Google 'GMG Activision' for Activision and six of the top ten results if you Google 'GMG Ubisoft' for Ubisoft have quite a lot of information about this.
According to Spark's link above, GMG have been added to Ubisoft's "approved" list during the last couple of months. I'm afraid I'm not sure which publishers have removed GMG from their "approved" list during the same time period.
If you still need more information after going through all that, please let me know and I'll be happy to Google more things for you.
