It's not. The UK version is single SIM only.

I had a chance to use this phone a couple of months ago. The screen is fantastic quality despite the 720p resolution (high brightness, contrast, great colours, wide viewing angles). The sound from the front facing speakers is also excellent, especially considering the small size of the handset. The cameras are OK, but not as good as competing handsets (e.g. Moto G 3rd). It runs android Lollipop 5.0.2, and most likely won't be updated to 5.1 or 6. The case design is also very nice, the only slight problem is that the tiny speaker holes pick up dust very quickly, and are difficult to clean.

The single-SIM 8GB version of the phone actually uses a 16GB flash chip that has been software locked to 8GB (so that they can sell the dual-SIM 16GB version for a higher premium). There is a guide over at XDA to repartition the flash chip to get the full 16GB of storage.

The Alcatel has the warranty of course, but is only 8GB internal memory, which is not great (and that coming from someone who can happily survive on 16GB). In fact the Redmi has the betterspec all round including a battery that is more than twice as big, metal body, better processor Antutu 33,000 compared to 19,000), more RAM, (slightly) bigger screen etc etc

personally think the p8 lite is much better than this.

sod it, I'm buying this one for the wife. she only uses Facebook, eBay and WhatsApp and the camera is the same as the big one which seems pretty good to me. Not keen on the Chinese phones so will see how she gets on with this.

Also the Ulefone Paris dual sim 16gb 2gb ram is on amazon for £99.99 iphone 6 look a like.

screen is too big on that for the misses. I have the SU6 and she doesn't like it so think 5" will be about the limit

Was about to fork out for the 16gb moto g 3rd gen but now I have seen this, I don't know what to do!
its for the wife so won't be taxed by games or anything major but she does like to take a lot of pictures and the camera of the moto g is really good but is it worth spending an extra £60 for 0.5gb of ram and a better camera??

I dived in and ordered.......only to realise it's 1.5gb RAM and Snapdragon 410. For some reason i thought it was 2gb/Snapdragon 615! Anyway cancelled, will carry on waiting for EU rom for Redmi 3.
