Although it's an AMD processor, it's the part of top of the range for AMD with an average CPU mark of 4294. I bought one myself (I had a special discount though so managed to get it a lot less). Despite what it says in the specs, it's got a matte screen which some might prefer.
It has M.2 slot. You can add an extra M.2 SSD, keep both SSD and HDD simultaneously if you so choose
Includes extended 2 year warranty from John Lewis

Without FHD, and the powerful AMD FX is throttling, this laptop for this price is not good.

Unfortunately it looks like John Lewis have made a mistake, according to Asus it's 1366*768
Worth saying this has dedicated graphics so marginally better than the on board Intel stuff

the reviewer on the John Lewis website claims the processor is restricted to around 50% power, pretty poor if this is correct, what is the point in putting in a powerful chip then halving it's power?

That is shocking if true, Otherwise looks pretty decent. I'm looking for a decent FHD laptop for under £400.

It seems indeed true and is not limited to this laptop either. See the top 2 results.
