I know most use sat navs but I still like to have a map handy in case battery is running low or a better route can be found. Especially good for long journeys. Bargain at less than 50p!

Paper maps. What a novelty.

Stupid comment. Can you look at a broad area on a satnav to get an idea what's in the area? Or a general overview of where you are in the landscape? :smirk:

With Speed Cameras... lol. Spend so long trying to spot the cameras on the map you'll drive off the road. That said, for 49p these are good to hold in the car for when the satnav fails...

Worth having in the car just incase your phone or satnav runs out of battery.

handy for when both phones and the car phone charger fail

You would struggle to buy that much paper for 49p. Handy for getting an overall picture, much more difficult on a phone or satnav, they have their uses.

But are these actually available? The last time this deal was posted, my local HB's staff looked at me as if I was talking jibberish!

Cheap enough to make a flick book SatNav from 30 copies.

Sometimes the sat nav on my phone goes funny so it's always good to have a paper backup. I think my road map from 1995 could do with an update! The M6 Toll is marked as a proposed route!

Yes. You can get a more detailed overview in fact if you use the right sat-nav.
Though you don't seem to understand what the word "novelty" actually means (in this context it means unusual, which paper maps are), so I'm not sure if their's is the stupid comment...

Just reserve 10 at my local depot, my travelling colleagues will love em. Thanks for the heads up!

Also good when your sat nav insists you use a road that you know is blocked.

People who think satnavs are a replacement for road atlases make me laugh.

I would guess they are for the majority of people, especially if all you want to do is get from A to B with the least amount of effort.
