Our central heating pump failed yesterday and the maintenance company can't fix it until tomorrow, so I went into town to find an electric heater for tonight. I called in at the B&M branch in Corby and found this perfectly good stand alone heater that will be ideal for my son's room at only £3. I suspect it is an end of season deal and I've no idea whether it is a national price or not.
At this price it is worth keeping in the garage for emergencies.

I'm withdrawing this item. I plugged the heater in to try it - and it tripped the RCD. I've just checked the continuity to find it has a serious earth fault (I'm an electrician). Had it not been for RCD protection this could have caused a serious over-current situation, and maybe even a real fire! Closer inspection shows the case is cracked on one side, which I suspect has led to the problem. It was still sealed in its primary packaging, so the store would not have been aware.
