This is a lovely 9 night break to Croatia, exploring Zadar, Plitvice Lakes, Dubrovnik and Split. I've picked good value accommodation, all with private bathrooms and those that come highly rated through reviews and ratings. If you are a single traveller I highly recommend looking at hostels or those with shared bathrooms as you could almost get this for the same price with some fantastic rated, and cheap hostels if this appeals. If it was me I'd be happy to look at places with shared bathrooms too which are even cheaper and have great ratings too.
Although this trip involves you driving around I've allowed time to do leisurely drives around not rushing.
14-16 April (2 Nights)
After picking up your car from the airport, you will drive to Zadar where you will stay at Villa Maslina for 2 nights. This will give you plenty of time to explore the local area.
16 April (1 Night)
I couldn't resist putting in an overnight at Plitvice Lakes. Most people just go for the day from Zadar but I think you are then limiting yourself to one day and hoping the weather will be good. Having an overnight gives you plenty of time to explore and make the most of the lakes without rushing. You will overnight at the Plitvice Palace which has favourable ratings.
17-19 April (2 Nights)
You'll drive to Split around 2 and half hours away for 2 nights at the Private Accommodation Raspublic. You can make the most of a leisurely drive after Plitvice Lakes as you will return to Split again later in your travels so there is no rush!
19-21 April (2 Nights)
You'll drive to Dubrovnik today for 2 nights in an absolutely gorgeous hotel - the Hotel Dubrovnik which looks just beautiful! It's right in the centre of the town so you are ideally placed to explore. There are cheaper options especially those with shared bathrooms but this looked such a bargain price I couldn't resist!
21-23 April (2 Nights)
You will drive to Split from Dubrovnik, but again there is no rush. In Split you'll be staying this time at the Stella Apartments. You can look at heading a little further afield and explore areas such as Krka National Park or even take the ferry to Hvar if this interests you. Alternatively, you can just relax on the beach.

I found Croatia felt like what the Med would have been like before the absolute onslaught of tourism spoiled a lot of it. Would love to go back.

You need to book each thing individually. So.... Flights you book with Ryanair. The majority of the accommodation is all booked at booking.com as per the details in the breakdown.
The hotel Dubrovnik you need to book on http://www.venere.com using the code that is in HUKD voucher section.
Car hire is done via the website Auto Europe. It sounds complicated but it really isn't! Just open multiple tabs on your phone/computer. That's what I do and I find it easier as that way I can book everything in one go.
