Decent price for 7 nights, self catering including flights. Flying from Stansted.

Few other dates aval - see link, prices vary slightly depending on when you fly. - Note i've added 15KG luggage in above price,

The Maritsa Studios is a simple property set back from the main road in its own pretty gardens on the outskirts of Kamari Bay in Kefalos. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance and the beach is just a ten minute stroll away. Rooms have their own bathroom and kitchen area and although there is no pool onsite, guests are welcome to use the swimming pool and snack bar next door at the Manolis Studios. Pleasant but simple, these studios will appeal to singles, couples and small groups of friends looking for room only accommodation in a relaxed location making it ideal for a low cost holiday to Kefalos. The studios do not have their own pool but you can use the pool of the adjacent property. All have bathroom/shower WC kitchenette (certain amenities may be payable locally). Guests have a simple kitchen area and are within easy reach of all the local wining and dining venues. For a convenient drink or snack, guests can use the snack bar next to the pool at the Manolis Studios. Singles, Couples and Small Groups of Friends.

How would going to Greece support a Muslim country? And what difference would it make anyway?

Do you work for the BBC by any chance with that liberal nonsense.
Nobody mentioned hate - only you.
Nobody is being racist - yet you mentioned it.
You then go on to mention Christian powers forcing people to leave their countries.

Ugly and disrespectful you say ?

Its the greeks I feel sorry for, wheras Turkey with its "dubious" government is using it as a massive bargaining chip to get in the EU, ...the same country doing dirty deals with syria, the same country importing cheap dinghy's & fake life jackets & selling them through their folk in syria et al..

"migration" or flee-ing war with a large dollop of folk taking the p155 from other countries jumping on the band wagon, making it more chaotic...

Not to mention the rape, molestation et al within europe that was being damped down by other nations government in case they "upset" the refugee / asylum seekers & blaggers mix who steam rollered their way across europe last summer.

5 years to sort this mess out so far & no-one has stepped up to the plate in case they offend, all the while making it worse for EVERYONE involved & screwing up the reputation of the genuinely needy!

But yeah, great price, utilise it, get some sun, help the economy of poor little Kos, & perhaps, waken any children you might have to the problems of the world on their doorstep & actually preach to them till they hate you, (but understand) ...this stuff happens, how are you going to deal with it fairly & cost effectively without bankrupting a bunch of "rich" (on paper) countries!?

Heat, will suggest it to the wife!

Yeah, no group of impoverished people fleeing for their lives and those of their children are gonna screw up my holiday. I don't need that while I'm sipping on my pina colada.
I'm going to holiday in centre parcs where it's safe..Unless I get shot by a wayward arrow in the archery.

"... I'm as afraid as hell of the outcome in either direction, ..wish I could get a free pass out, or bash some fences down to get to where I want."
I'm not normally minded for posting to threads on hukd or anywhere for that matter (check my profile), but I'm definitely with you here! During my younger singleton days, I always thought that I'd leave if ever the Tories got in again! Alas, I'm older and married with children with all of trappings that brings!

On Thursday, I awoke on the sofa to the puffed-up sounds of a young Fraser Nelson lookalike banging on about the inevitability of UK citizens having to pay some sort of fee in addition to taxes for our health care!

Ignoring the comments about current affairs and certain members jumping on liberal bandwagons...

Kefalos is an absolutely beautiful place we went 2-3 years ago and stayed at hermes hotel.

Kefalos is unspoilt it is very quiet it is the polar opposite of benidorm and Blackpool.

We stayed for a week and we will return to this unspoilt paradise In the future, those who are concerned about current affairs shouldn't be too worried about Kefalos or kardamena these 2 resorts are on the south face of the island, the main route for those displaced is from bodrum across the 5 mile stretch to kos town and the Northern face of the island.

To be honest it was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had.

I actually feel sorry for what ADDITIONAL problems they are encountering after their collective nation hit the floor, there is now means to recovery via the established economy.

Since the referendum when they were shafted (like we are being now with all sorts of EU threat tactics from the EU ((who are dodgey as hell too, like no sign off for accounts, massive financial black hole ...that's normal & hidden is it? so we have feeder society draining more & dictating more, whilst taking MORE))

Greece has come around to austerity, its people at the top DUPED everyone into allowing it into the EU, the EU saw another country to "control" & willingly took that dupe & ran with it! ...the EU are as much t blame in its still current clamour to swell its ranks regardless of state of readiness, ..this is the normal chaos !

Greece aint no peach, but they are back to being Eu#s b1tch in an arena of chaos that they are not willing to think straight & assist.

The EU is a damned liability, ..as are our "Best pals with business" Politicians in this country New Labour & Conservatives ,..I'm as afraid as hell of the outcome in either direction, ..wish I could get a free pass out, or bash some fences down to get to where I want.

Greece is a massive entry point, therefore EU assistance, be it guards & fences with controlled entry, prcessing & care "with a clear return policy" should have been sorted a long time ago, instead we watched as fences were torn down & questionable folk tramped through to central Europe ...whatever the past, & remember WE (EU) dictate to Greece, have utterly failed greece's recovery for the forseeable, which will burden them with even more debt & years in the hinterlands with less chance of getting back up, ...which'll make the world bank happy!

went to kos in august as the crisis started, load of scaremongering, only saw a few migrants, kept themselves to themselves, they weren't sat on the beaches washing their clothes or watching you eat your dinner outside restaurants, its the daily mail stirring the pot (and yes I realise things may have changed, just giving an opinion)

I can not believe how racist people can be on money saving forum. My God it's literally becoming so daily and normal to say that you can hate Islam or Muslim countries.. Just for the record Turkey has the biggest immigrant population in earth, only Syrian refugees are like 3million and thousand of them have been given jobs, homes and some of them have been given Turkish passports. Also for the record that people have been forced to leave their countries by Christian powers so no need to be ugly and disrespectful here.

That doesn't make much sense, how is flying to Kos in Greece a predominantly Christian EU country going to support Turkey or Egypt? It must be a desperate time for the Greeks living on these islands that are dependent on tourism, and supporting them would be a good thing to do.

I'd have my reservations about migrants on Kos too, thoroughly selfish of me, but I am honest enough to admit it.
paulandpam1

Do tourists still go to Kos? I'm sure the idea of sharing my holiday resort with boat loads of refugees sound unappealing to most people including myself.
