It may, if you get one of those 30-pin to Lightning adaptors as well.
It's just a USB stick, why would it have HDMI?

Seems like a decent concept, I assume I can fill the 64gb with videos and watch them back on my iPad ? Might be worth a punt if I can find a review

What app does it need for iOS (unlike Android, iOS is not plug and play with these types of devices)?

You can get this type of unit with just a micro sd card slot from ebay which is much better because you are not limited to 64gb. They all use an app to play or take pics and vids off your apple. You can buy them in lightning or 32pin. They are about £10.
I bought this i-flash drive http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201243960087?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and it works great on ios 9.2 but you need to read the descriptions well before you buy because some only work with certain iOS.

Good if you've got a iPad with limited storage and you can use this to watch films etc.. Problem is it uses an app to access the files. Still good for the price. Heat added!

There is nothing wrong with the i-drive you posted, its a great price, I would have bought one if I didn't need more space, i was just showing other options. Thanks OP.

There are hundreds of different types of these things, the only way to find out is from the supplyer or the OP. don't forget this is from China so it will take a while. But its a good price and great for keeping extra films photos and music. If you're on holiday and you fill your phone with photos and video you can take take them all off onto the I drive, delete from your phone and take more photos. Don't go on holiday without one. Lol

Can you do "open with" from these. I.e can I plug it in, use whatever crappy app I need to access the file then open it in something else, say, infuse?

The way most of them work is, if you have an app that can (open from) then yes but most apps have their own storage area on your device . For security reasons Apple won't just let any app put files onto a device so these i-drives have their own apps with their own storage places, like photos music and movies. There is a file manager system on them so as i say, if you can tell you're app to look on the stick or into the file manager app then it will work.

Can't you use Paypal for GearBest?

Yes you can and SHOULD ALWAYS use Paypal with these type of companies.

If you used a credit card, you can do a charge back.

these days this seems like the better option, recently PayPal turned their back on me while dealing with Gearbest so watch out!

I had one of these and it was totally dead. Well it worked briefly then crashed my iPad and iPhone whenever it was inserted after that time.
Concept is great but it must have cheap memory chips and hardware inside - don't think any of the big manufacturers make these devices.

All this kind of stuff is cheap chinese mass produced carp, you just have to hope to be lucky and get a good one, most of them are, or pay 3 times as much for the same thing from the UK with a guarantee. Has anyone else had one that wont work.

NEVER USE PAYPAL I used PayPal with one of these type of companies. I ordered headphones advertised as Motorola. They were fake. When I complained the supplier acknowledged they were fake and offered me some discount. It took forever to get a full refund from PayPal. They kept insisting I get proof from an independent expert that the item was fake. I eventually escalated to PayPal legal department when I pointed out that PayPal were supporting the sale of fakes by continuing to work with FocalPrice.

I have conducted more that 8,000 transactions with paypal and had many problems with sellers any buying, Paypal have always sorted them out. I agree, they can drag their feet and sometimes need to be pushed, but if you think about it, they conduct MILLIONS of transactions per day, they will make some mistakes but in my over 8,000 they have done me proud. Anyway, who would you advise people to use, Mr cash ? or give out your credit card info, No-one is perfect, but I don't know anyone safer than Paypal. Everyone's opinion counts, thanks for warning us.

When I said NEVER USE PAYPAL it was in reference to these type of companies. I still use PayPal with transactions I think are 100% safe. Otherwise I use credit card for the extra protection. You lose that protection when using PayPal - even though you are paying by credit card.

Actually the technology was R&D'ed by a proper brand and this a Chinese copy - so at least buy the original one if you value the data on it. But by all means if you just want to move films around and don't mind if it corrupts them possibly (e.g. it's replaceable data) then buy this. The biggest issue with these cheap copies is the app you need to use - more often than not it's the buggy app that causes the problems not the hardware itself.
Of course, this would all be easier if it was an widely and openly-used connector like micro-USB!

True but how would poor old apple make billions if they couldn't force you to use their products. Thanks for the extra info.
