Heat for the post
I was at Stratford West Field yesterday and bought two of these boxes to be shared at work and some Easter play kits and straw hats to be given to children to play with, they will love it whether it's easter or not.....
Pity the day before I bought the Duchy Original Egg choc at 50% off but by yesterday they were all gone when they reduced it to 75%, 75% of the shelves were gone and still people were shoving and pushing in to grab the bargain....
and just pasting this deal on that thread would have made sense............................

Oh first world problems! Don't know what the fuss is, it's cheap chocolate. had them at easter as a kid and liked them. Just ate one (first in years) and it tasted much the same as I remembering. Sugary and sickly. Think there are much bigger issues to take a stance on than chocolate eggs!

12p each at my local Waitrose. I've just eaten one and it seemed OK, though I've not had one for years and can't really compare it with what they used to be like.

Stocked up on these earlier! All easter eggs and chocolates were 75% off - lots of thorntons, lindt and Cadburys.

True, but there are always creme eggs left over, they must cost so little to produce, that they never bother reducing the amount.
Also I bet most supermarkets were cleared of all the normal priced Easter eggs, bet they made enough, old Cadbury :smirk:

Too many fatties to affect Cadbury sales i'm afraid.

Hmmm....not sure about that. Everyone seems to be trying to shift pallet-loads of these things now. If I had shares in 'em, I'd sell now before the Easter sales figures are published!

Cant understand the hate, creme eggs were always a bit gross to be honest, now they're just more gross.

Good deal for the product so I voted hot. Be warned if you havent tasted these for a few years they are very different now..
It's time we voted with our feet and didn't buy it and support British brands that care. The new owners just want to milk it for every penny and are trashing the brand.
