This deal is a repost as the OP set the expiration date as 17th March instead of April. I tried to change the expiry on the old post but it wouldn't work.
I've moved from Three's One Plan to this and couldn't be happier. Actually finding the 3G (Vodafone) as fast as Three's 4G and dealings with customer service have been okay.
I also get much better signal than I did on Three. I travel countywide (Oxfordshire) daily and experience fewer black spots.

I am with Three (The One Plan 15) and wanted got 'the letter'. Phoned to cancel as they are bell ends if they think I going to suddenly pay £30 for something I am currently paying £15 for. Last at the end of the phone said gave the usual speech and I got 4Gb data, all you can eat minutes and texts including tethering for £12. I do use the 'feel at home' so if it wasn't for that, I would have cancelled and taken up this offer.

Don't do that - people have made that mistake and then had defaults on their accounts that they have had to pursue with Experian etc - if you cancel your contract you need to leave DD in place for 3 billing cycles apparently as that is how long they may need to take money off you

Sorry that Talkmobile are letting themselves and more importantly yourself down.
If I cancel in 12 months time I will surely be cancelling the DD at the same time.

Will probably shop around to see if there are any better deals. If not, I'll still call them up to ask for the PAC code and see if they'd knock any money off if I was to take the contract out again (unlikely but worth a shot). Worst case scenario, I'll just renew the contract, as £10 isn't bad at all for what you get!

PAC code used and old number transferred within 24 hrs very straight forward.

Yes that is with 3G. I am getting 3 - 4 MB DL speeds. But they are constant and don't drop off a lot like GiffGaff. I was getting sometimes 100kb/s DL speeds with GiffGaff so this is much better for me.
meant to ask is that just a strong 3G signal you are getting? not 4G I think this was a 3G deal probably because of the price.
If you dont mind me asking, what sort of 3G DL are you getting on speedtest?

Also, just a query to some folk who have had this deal before, assuming we get the TCB and are happy with Talk Mobile what happens after 12 months? because when you are used to £5.84 with VAT or £4.87 net it would be nice to keep it under say £6.00
deany76
3 Apr 161#64
I think the most important thing is what the reception is like at home & work, then what the best deals are. Overall EE seem to be great for data and signal with signal being very area specific.
I had a dreadful experience with Three's returns policy and their Indian call centre. Never again. They also just stopped my one plan without informing me. I did get 3 months refund but it was SHOCKING.
jimpom23
3 Apr 16#63
I've gone crawling back to Three for one of my contracts but only because I double checked my data usage - they told me I had only gone over 4gb once whereas when I looked I had gone over 5gb on 3 or 4 occasions in the last year so this deal wouldn't be enough for me - MAKE SURE YOU CHECK. Will still get it for the Mrs but have had to reluctantly take the 8gb one for £16 on a rolling contract and will jump ship at the next decent sim deal with similar data allowance.
ridley282
2 Apr 161#62
Your cashback is showing up, so it should be fine. If you ordered over the easter weekend, then you get a 'top-up' of £4.75 extra, it's a deal they were running. If you ordered outside of that and it still went through as that, then maybe a glitch meant the deal continued past the easter weekend, but can't see why they'd reject your cashback for that.
deany76
2 Apr 161#61
EE is the best where we live, we cant get landline broadband so rely totally on the EE cell about 1 1/2 miles away.
This sim is just a backup, but at these prices (if you can get the deal & cashback) you cant go wrong.

I have the Talkmobile £52.25 topcashback now showing in my account as pending, that was quick!
But I got a "Referal" e-mail off Talkmobile - they need to talk to me, strange my credit is good is this normal for SIMO? Surely they'd just disconnect if you don't pay! as no hand set is provided, just a 00.01p sim.

Its not normal. I think the reason this happened is because Topcashback made a mistake in their cashback listing amount. Today the cashback amount changed from £52.25 to £49.87. If you call talk mobile, they will let you reapply for this deal over the phone, you will not get the cashback. Try it again online via topcashback, but this time you will not be getting the £52.25 cashback

Another One Plan deserter along with the Mrs
I plan to go via Quidco for their £45 offer (me and TCB don't get on) but I'm intrigued by this note in the terms
This retailer only allows one account/contract per household
Does this mean that they will only pay one Quidco payment per household? If so would it also stop one of us doing the uSwitch deal to get a £30 giftcard instead? so £45 plus £30 giftcard?
Thoughts/experiences welcomed

1/ phone the number I gave above ↑ #55 & ask them to cancel your previous application.
2/ reapply via TCB
3/ send you bank statement to [email protected] quoting your new talkmobile 'referral' e-mail reference number in the title. I managed to save mine as a .pdf from online banking and attach to the e-mail (Lloyds).
4/ phone them back
hope you get things sorted, they seem to have a 'glitch' it may have been caused by the original TCB being over £50 then changing to £49.87 .

I ended up putting 3 orders through (2 TCB and one quidco) when i spoke to someone a Talkmobile they said all was okay now they had my bank statement (for a 00.01p sim) so I said cancel the other 2 orders.
Rang today and ALL orders have been cancelled.
I have now put a further new order in for the 00.01p sim and again got 'referral' (my Experian is fine) so I resent my bank statement.

Similar to some of the guys here, I was on the One plan with Three. Last year I've been on their cheap £10.99 a month 12 month contract, so this looked like a great find and I quickly signed up! On the phone to 3 for cancellations and they offered me a crazy good Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited texts and 4GB of data for just £9 (12 months). I probably would've taken it but I'd already signed up!
Hopefully the cashback comes through, then it'll all be worthwhile!

but they still haven't e-mailed me as promised.

It all seems very odd because I am keen to get this deal and with the TCB showing not sure what to do (have phoned them 3 times and always VERY nice but got told to await e-mail to confirm a few things! Also will my £102.12 mean I wont get any cash back in the end as its all 'messed up'

Reapply first online. If you get it then that is good. If it dont work give them a call and ask why this is happening to you and ask them to fix it so you can reapply online. If they say you can apply over the phone, just tell them that you cant give your bank details over the phone "good bye". However someone here did say its still a good deal with out the cashback

Do you people not remember the Security nightmare last year with this Company ?
how can you possibly join Talk Talk who had all their Customers Data Hacked ?
TalkTalk has given more details of the cyber-attack on its website, saying nearly 157,000 of its customers' personal details were accessed.
More than 15,600 bank account numbers and sort codes were stolen, the company said.
Customers should continue to protect themselves from scam phone calls and emails, TalkTalk added.
TalkTalk said:
156,959 customers had personal details accessed
Of those customers, 15,656 bank account numbers and sort codes were stolen
28,000 stolen credit and debit card numbers were "obscured" and "cannot be used for financial transactions".

Also, just a query to some folk who have had this deal before, assuming we get the TCB and are happy with Talk Mobile what happens after 12 months? because when you are used to £5.84 with VAT or £4.87 net it would be nice to keep it under say £6.00
I had a dreadful experience with Three's returns policy and their Indian call centre. Never again. They also just stopped my one plan without informing me. I did get 3 months refund but it was SHOCKING.
This sim is just a backup, but at these prices (if you can get the deal & cashback) you cant go wrong.
Cheers
But I got a "Referal" e-mail off Talkmobile - they need to talk to me, strange my credit is good is this normal for SIMO? Surely they'd just disconnect if you don't pay! as no hand set is provided, just a 00.01p sim.
Cheers
I plan to go via Quidco for their £45 offer (me and TCB don't get on) but I'm intrigued by this note in the terms
This retailer only allows one account/contract per household
Does this mean that they will only pay one Quidco payment per household? If so would it also stop one of us doing the uSwitch deal to get a £30 giftcard instead? so £45 plus £30 giftcard?
Thoughts/experiences welcomed
Not sure about your other queries maybe phone them?
Cheers
1/ phone the number I gave above ↑ #55 & ask them to cancel your previous application.
2/ reapply via TCB
3/ send you bank statement to [email protected] quoting your new talkmobile 'referral' e-mail reference number in the title. I managed to save mine as a .pdf from online banking and attach to the e-mail (Lloyds).
4/ phone them back
hope you get things sorted, they seem to have a 'glitch' it may have been caused by the original TCB being over £50 then changing to £49.87 .
Within a few minutes got acceptance confirmation and told sim would arrive Tues or Weds
I asked for an e-mail to confirm acceptance and just recieved that.
I phoned 0333 304 8064 (option 1+2)
So just need the TCB to be credited and it will be deal of the century SIMO wise at 120-49.87= £5.74 a month!!!
Hope others dont give up. PM me if you need their names.
Thank you OP hope the ongoing service is good.
ps
All the staff are very pleasant at the company & I always think thats a good sign.
Rang today and ALL orders have been cancelled.
I have now put a further new order in for the 00.01p sim and again got 'referral' (my Experian is fine) so I resent my bank statement.
The TCB is now showing over £150 pending!!
Just awaiting Talkmobile to confirm all okay, must say I've owned mobiles for over 25 years and this is a 1st for me.
I'm normally quite patient.
I have checked with Experian and no problem at all with my credit score.
Very odd for a 00.01p sim card!
I clicked through TCB and it is showing there. Still awaiting confirmation e-mail.
I do know one of their call centres is near Cairo with views of the pyramids, nice, quite jealous actually.
Hope this helps.
I call this a SCAM because why should it go through wrong?? The deal had been going a number of days before I signed up and all of a sudden the cash back is wrong for me and other people.
What is the no. for TCB?
Hopefully the cashback comes through, then it'll all be worthwhile!
My topcashback is showing but twice as I reaplied its now "Talkmobile - £102.12"!
but they still haven't e-mailed me as promised.
I have checked my Experian credit score and there is no problems there.
It all seems very odd because I am keen to get this deal and with the TCB showing not sure what to do (have phoned them 3 times and always VERY nice but got told to await e-mail to confirm a few things! Also will my £102.12 mean I wont get any cash back in the end as its all 'messed up'
Any thoughts?
cheers
"Thanks for choosing Talkmobile. We’re processing your order but we need a few more details from you to complete our checks. A member of our Help Team will be in touch so we can progress with your order."

Works out at £5.65/month
I've just joined TCB and gone for this deal. I am taking a risk as I have never heard of Talk Mobile and after being with Giff Gaff for many years I really want some decent 3g speeds. I just hope Talk Mobile deliver on that front. I have a 14 day cooling off period so I can try it for a week and test the speeds.
how can you possibly join Talk Talk who had all their Customers Data Hacked ?
BBC News article on TalkTalk hack
TalkTalk has given more details of the cyber-attack on its website, saying nearly 157,000 of its customers' personal details were accessed.
More than 15,600 bank account numbers and sort codes were stolen, the company said.
Customers should continue to protect themselves from scam phone calls and emails, TalkTalk added.
TalkTalk said:
156,959 customers had personal details accessed
Of those customers, 15,656 bank account numbers and sort codes were stolen
28,000 stolen credit and debit card numbers were "obscured" and "cannot be used for financial transactions".
Plus the Talkmobile happy hour - 10p per call after allowance and then talk for free for 60mins
Has it improved any?
