After looking at the New Zealand deal I mooched about to get one where the funds go directly to the National Trust.
Found 3 months free although it's only a few pounds cheaper than 2 months free so I reckon it's closer to 2.4 moths free.. but hey ho.
I should add this membership is for 2 adults and up to 5 children under 17.
We spent nearly £70 in one day last year on admissions to NT properties silly i Know but that mistake won't be repeated.
If you go through Quidco then change the code NT16007M0 to NT16008M1 it comes innearly £4.00 cheaper.
You have to pay by Yearly subscription but easy cancelled and then repeat the process next year.
St. Patricks day will be spent on the Giants Causeway.. :0)
The 3% cashback has tracked at £2.50..

The NT is exploiting people?
The Bermudan/NZ national trust memberships are intended for residents of those countries. I haven't looked at their portfolios but I imagine they have far fewer stately homes and the like than the UK. If members come to visit the UK they might visit a couple of NT properties, but probably won't be here long enough to go around visiting all of them. So it seems entirely fair that they pay less, as they are getting less for it.

Does anyone know what the offer at the National Trust locations on the day is please? I tend to prefer the 15 months for the price of 12 as we tend to go only really in the hotter months and buying it at the right time you can wrap it around 2 years.

NT16008M1 not working for me ...
but.. i played with codes a bit and NT16010M0 gets the same offer - 83.25 by DD.
P.S. I support this and other threads suggesting different **Legit** discount options and I believe that NT is aware of those options, but considers them not being an issue. For example, years ago I was a member of EH for couple of years, but since then I am not member or visitor of their sites in any form. So they get NOTHING from my budget. Surely for any business it is negative result.

Sure, just join and they send a membership card which is accepted worldwide at various national trusts

Look here it is posted quite often, you might want to put Newbold on your ignore list before you read it though to block all the moral clutter.
I have one and you can ask for an additional card also in any name. So you can get one for another family for $5.

You won't win a debate with "self appointed Mod/troll/morality god" Newbold. He just clutters up threads with reasons why you shouldn't take advantage of good deals. Just let him have the last word and leave it at that.

Just for the record, there is no charge to visit the Giant's Causeway (only to go in the visitor's centre or to park in NT's carpark...both optional). Just sayin'

The three month free deal is a bit of a con I have to say. Most NT places are shut three months of the feckin year anyway!!!

You really don't have to be wealthy to spend £100 or so on NT membership. In practice it does appeal to a middle class customer base, and granted, if you are completely broke and struggling to make ends meet then it's out of the question, but to spend £2 a week on access to some very interesting sites is hardly the preserve of the super rich.

I disagree, at £83 per year it is £1.60 per week, per family for unlimited entrance, parking (and most events) to some of the most beautiful gardens, houses and locations in Britain.

All it means is that the NT here wants to exploit members by getting them to pay more than other countries. NT is doing the exploiting. Besides, those taking advantage of the deal are not people who would be full paying UK members anyway.

You didn't answer the question about whether you cheat all charities or just NT. Do you also regard stealing from charity shops as fair game?
By the way, this might interest you:

Do you cheat all charities out of the money they need to carry out their work, or is it just the National Trust?
You'll be delighted to learn that as a result of the recent threads, National Trust and English Heritage are now discussing their reciprocal arrangements with their internationally affiliated associates to ensure that this exploitation is blocked.

Try the Historic Houses Association http://www.hha.org.uk instead - they have some much better stately homes than the NT. Including Downton Abbey (Highclere Castle), and they might have more local ones than the NT or EH.
£77 for two adults. If anyone finds a deal, let me know.

We're National Trust Members and love it. Although only a few properties near us we go to either Devon or Cornwall each year and have very find memories of our National Trust days out. Days out on holiday can cost a small fortune plus I know that the money is going to a worthwhile cause.

Got this deal before and it's great if you have a lot of properties nearby and can potentially save money. We found that after you had visited a couple of properties we never used it much again after that. The "free 3 months" also fell in the middle of winter when a lot of the properties were closed.

I'm sort of the same but we've a dozen or so within a 2 hour drive, although we don't visit everyone each year we always seem to do a few so just thought I'd join this year.. knowing me I'll forget the membership cards when visiting.
