Not a bad wine, this one, at least its bottled in Chile, not bulk transported and bottled in the UK, like nearly every other £6-8 bottle of wine in Tesco. Lidl and Aldi run rings around Tesco's wine pricing and selection (at a given price point). Where it's bottled is a key thing to look for, if you expect it to be drinkable.

Good idea Asda would be cheaper :
TESCO 6 x Casillero Del Diablo Cabernet = £24.30

Let the fun and games commence, it's actually better than you might think with lower price!!!!

So let's see if I have this correct.
Casillero Cabernet Sauvignon at Tesco is £5.40 a bottle. Total for 6 would be £32.40.
It is on offer at ASDA at 6 bottles for £25. A difference of £7.20.
Firstly 25% of £32.40 is deducted. That is £8.10 leaving then £24.30.
Then the Brand Match is deducted (£7.20).
This leaves an overall total for the 6 bottles @ £17.10 - which is £2.85 per bottle.
Would that all be correct on that example?

This may help.....
When you shop in-store (excluding Tesco Express and Tesco Petrol Filling Stations) or online at Tesco, we’ll check the total price of your Branded Basket of groceries against the total price of a comparable branded basket at Asda, Morrisons[1] and Sainsbury’s. If your comparable branded grocery shop would have been cheaper at Asda, Morrisons[1] or Sainsbury’s, we’ll deduct the difference (or the maximum Tesco Brand Guarantee limit of £20) off the price of your shop before you pay.
To qualify, you’ll need at least 10 Different Products, including one Comparable Branded Grocery Product in your basket (see terms and conditions for definitions). For example, if you buy 9 different unbranded fresh vegetable products and one bag of Cadbury Bitsa Wispa 110gm then your basket will qualify for Tesco Brand Guarantee. However, if you buy 6 different unbranded fresh vegetable products, three cans of Heinz baked beans 415gm and one bag of Cadbury Bitsa Wispa 110gm, your basket will not qualify as you have bought three identical products meaning your basket does not have 10 Different Products.
AND
How does Tesco Brand Guarantee work if I shop online?
When you shop online at tesco.com/groceries, you will see a “guide price” for the total cost of your shopping at the time you click “Confirm Payment” to buy your basket. Your method of payment will not be charged until the day of delivery of your shop, which means you will be charged the Tesco prices that apply on this day (not the day when you clicked “Confirm Payment”). The Tesco Brand Guarantee deduction will be applied at the same time as when you are charged for your online grocery shop, i.e. the day of delivery, and you will receive your Tesco Brand Guarantee confirmation email after delivery of your shopping.

Campo viejo Reserva is £10.80 at Tesco. Asda sells this for £7.
That is 10.80 x 6 - (BM 3.80 x 6) - 25% = £33.75 which works out cheaper than costco or any other stores even while on promotion if this deal works while you have 10 items.

Sleth deserves special thanks on this deal for pointing out the technicality of the Brand Match. Worked 4 times for me on Casillero and Campo Viejo over the weekend. I mistakenly reduced my saving £2 each time by adding the same branded product which was more expensive at ASDA. Nonetheless saved over £45. There is no need to add any extra branded item in addition to the wine brand. Buy single vegetables and cheap Tesco branded items (10 different items in basket including the wine). Still Casillero and Campo Viejo at £3 a bottle is unbeatable. I don't mind getting one over on Tesco, the Brand Guarantee is such a weasly worded, tricksy load of marketing nonsense they deserve to be caught out by it.

Just went back in and didn't work second time.
Bought 60 bottles this morning, put through the till in 3 transactions.
Saved £42 in Brand Match and £85 on the 25% off offer.
That's the wedding reception sorted
Campo viejo Reserva is £10.80 at Tesco. Asda sells this for £7.
That is 10.80 x 6 - (BM 3.80 x 6) - 25% = £33.75 which works out cheaper than costco or any other stores even while on promotion if this deal works while you have 10 items.
I thought full prices of some wines have been reduced in Tesco to combat the glitch?
3 at £5.40: Campo Viejo, Sangre de Toro & Casillero del Diablo Cab Sauv;
1 at £5.25: McGuigan Cab Sauv;
2 at £5.00: Hardy's Stamp Shiraz Cab, & Faustino VII.
All of which are 6 for £25 at Asda.
Few other items bought to kick in the brand guarantee, but wine totalled £31.45, 25% = £7.87 taken off & a further £6.45 off = £31.45 - £25 brand guarantee.
Good luck!
So the Les Dauphins Cotes du Rhone Reserve should work out as £18.75 for 6 bottles, not bad considering its lowest price is normally £7 :sunglasses:
Found this wine:
Hardy's Stamp Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 75Cl
Price - Tesco @ 6.50, Asda @ 2/£10, Sainsbury @ £5
If I go to Tesco Extra and grab a case, Brand match should reduce it £30 at till and then 25% comes off making it £22.50 for the case?
Finding the wines that are cheaper elsewhere than tesco seems to be the art form here, any tips?
Thanks
Only thing is that I can't see the 25% offer on the tescos website, are you sure it's still running?
