amazing price. seems to be £100 more elsewhere. There does seem to be a TN panel of a similar monitor code for about this price, so wonder if its a pricing error? Had to order it at this price as its such a good spec for the money.
Totally forgot they still do the free delivery if you're a forum member and ordering over £50, my day has just got immensely better. Thanks for posting

They have just cancelled my order with no explination, emailed to ask why and just received a snappy rude response without a reason for cancelling.

Got it delivered today (for the other halves pc) and its pretty good, stand is a bit wobbly. I use a Dell monitor at the same resolution, but it's 27" - have to say though having set it up I wouldn't recommend this high a resolution on a 24" screen, it's not that comfortable to look at imo. I'd say 1440p has to be 27"+ but will see what the OH thinks of it.

this is the cheapest for the resolution that I've seen, but there are a couple of 1080, TN panels on ebuyer (listed on HUKD) for about the £80 mark.
looking at speding no more than £150 for a 2k or no more than £70 for a 1080p monitor needs to have HDMI or atleast DVI. not bothered about size but 24+ is preffered

depends if you're more bothered about the resolution or carry size?

Would this be suitable as a bedroom smart TV? If so, what additional devices would you need? Chromecast or is there better out there?

Speakers on monitors nowadays tend to be really quiet and poor due to everyone wanting no bezel .

It's okay for the price, but you're right, it's not a great screen. Simply being an IPS doesn't mean it's magically better.
The input lag, high overshoot and response time (which is not consistent with what they claim) mean it only really has it's resolution and price going for it.
I think for a lot of people though this is still a good buy given the price. 1440p is a lovely resolution, and the IPS panel does mean colours and viewing angles are going to be good.

That's exactly what I was wondering and it's not exactly surprising. I've got an Acer UHD display and was running it alongside an AOC display with the same panel. The difference was incredible, the Acer tried to give the impression of having more vibrant colours by smushing all the values between 200 and 255 together into 255. Couldn't fix it via the on screen menu. Meanwhile the AOC was just about perfect, no issues I noticed.
