Dont quote me on this, but i overheard a aldi worker saying that "he has just been in the back to check the stock and the tvs are ultraHD, not just HD".
Not sure whether this will turn out to be true or not, i did have a look at the instore poster, but it only said HD.

There seems to be very little information on this TV, after calling Aldi I found out the model is b-215fdv and there is no usb record / pvr function. Information on the viewing angle would be helpful. Heat for the 3 year warranty and the price though.

I think it was available on their new online ordering service but has sold out. So only the store allocated stock is available. You could pre-order but it won't be available online after the store stock is available on Thursday.

Beware. Aldi are being rather naughty with this TV. It is advertised as "Full HD TV/DVD combi" but what they don't make clear is that whilst the screen is indeed "HD ready" the Freeview receiver is only standard def (not HD). So when you tune it you will only pickup the standard Freeview channels and NOT BBC HD etc. If you play an HD source into it from an external source you will be able to utilise the full resolution but not from its internal receiver. This is why it is only £99.

Not bad value for £99. You won't find any cheaper. But if you want a quality picture don't buy. It's not HD, the colours are washed out, and the viewing angle is poor in the vertical plane.

Made a special trip to my local store to pick up this tv today & told they'd all sold out in less than an hour on Thursday morning - am now getting fed-up with the pathetic quantities of some special offer stock Aldi allocate to stores. They obviously assume people have nothing better to do at 7am on a March morning than queue up in the freezing cold just to save a few quid.

Having got mine installed I found it only has a scart plug to feed tv signal in. The co axial socket only for radio according to help line. So my signal comes via a dish on the roof with a screw in connector, not normal coax. Can only make set work if I fit a maxwell freeview box upstream, feed screw aerial lead into that then take scart lead to the TV. A complete faff as do not hav 240 v when touring only 12volt high was reason for buying thing in th first place. Not a happy bunny.
