Mine just arrived. The steelbook looks good but the spine is just a bit of plastic glued on. comes with some timeline thing that's poorly written and has wrong info on it, like PS1 memory - 16MB... nahhhh try 2MB.

Just checked mine and it says completed next to the order status so guessing that means its been sent tho i havent had an email.

Mines dispatching today I only ordered ~1~ tho wasn't greedy and it paid off I know a lot of people on HDUK are super greedy with stuff like this. My understanding is people who ordered very late after the deal was posted won't get them when it was close to 'out of stock' status. I got no idea mate, I wouldn't even want to try guessing what went on here but I do know from the other thread that VGB are spouting out a load of excuses about these being 'pre-orders' and being let down by suppliers bla bla bla.

My gut instinct is there was nowhere near as many available as were sold last Thursday, no matter where they originated from.

I'm guessing either it was a timed exclusive or Game probably couldn't shift enough of them and returned them to Sony, who sold them on to other retailers.

I've seen screen captures in another thread from some bod who ordered special cheap deals from shopto nearly two months ago and they've still not shipped so I hope you're right.

Thing is these steelbooks was released in very limited numbers, like 20,000 in total I believe, and to the best of my knowledge exclusive to Game. Call me cynical but it seems rather moody that both shopto and video game box should suddenly have bundles of them available at 40% below the RRP on the same day.

I hope my suspicious pessimism proves totally unfounded and they have come in today and get shipped to everyone who jumped on this deal tomorrow as another poster was told but it ain't ringing true to me :man:

I just called them up and apparently they got a delivery of them later on in the day today, so they will be dispatching tomorrow. We'll see!

I'm no expert on IT matters so perhaps they've sorted it since then but I do remember some online retail executive moaning about the problems it caused with stock showing on her site on Jeff Randall's show a year or two ago.

Yeah, as above these won't be going anywhere until Tuesday at the earliest. I'd expect, though, that if you ordered when these were listed at this point then there shouldn't be any concerns over stock for your order, given that they subsequently relisted with more stock, at a slightly higher price.

all that figure says tho is how many people were actually browsing that item or had clicked to add to cart, not necessarily that they were actually buying one.

That is a very good point, the fact I've been over in Austria for a few years now and was even out buying a bit of clobber at the Parndorf retail outlet yesterday makes you forget Good Friday is a bank holiday back in blighty :confused:

I'm still rather suspicious about how many they had to sell because those steelbooks were rather quite limited at launch, Shopto's counter was saying up to 700 people about to buy this product at one point the night before last and I'm sorry I ain't having it they had anywhere near that many in stock.

Even at £40 this is a fantastic deal. My PS+ doesn't run out till November, but that extra year plus money for Salt and Sanctuary is well worth it.

*Edit* - that probably refers to the golden ticket claim date, the PS+ & PSN money cards shouldn't be any different to normal ones, which last for donkeys, there's no mention of an expiry date on the last physical one I bought.
