beware the alcohol contents, the percentages are slightly lower than normal. That's how they can get away with selling them slightly cheaper.

Sounds like me - I think it might be nearly that, it was Disaronno amaretto and I reckon I have the 700ml and the deal above says 50cl.

If £10 a bottle in Scotland this is exceptional - especially on 40% spirit (eg whisky) as the duty alone is £9.29 including VAT!

Still not bad though, cheapest I've seen the 50cl bottles are £11. The 70cl bottles are on offer for £15 sometimes. This offer, 50cl for £10, is the equivalent of getting 70cl for £14, so still a good deal.
Probably because the 70cl is £18!

You are talking nonsense, and your lack of basic mathematical skill would well qualify you for a job in HM Treasury. 750 CL is 7.5 litres i.e seven and a half litres, and you most certainly do not have 7.5 litre bottle of spirits either at home or anywhere else.
Before metrication, spirits in the UK were sold in bottles containing a pint and two thirds (or 26 and 2/3rds fluid ounces) This equated to 757 ml. After metrication (another device to screw the customer, as was decimalisation) the bottle size was reduced to 700 ml or 70 cl. It is possible that you have 75 cl bottles, but they were not bought in any shop in the UK

I said 750 CL (not ml). That is how I extrapolated the correct price per volume per litre.

15 Mar 16#45
My maths is correct as it was predicated on the fact that two 750CL bottles comes to that. I have 750CL bottles at home. I didn't know they made slightly smaller spirit bottles in sizes of 70. Not my experience.

Never seen spirits in 750 ml ever - only wine. Spirits usually 700ml or 1l.
