Very good deal considering this console retails on its own for over £100. 1 month Xbox live gold included as well
2 games are Fable and plants vs zombies garden warfare.
Guy behind the till said it should be a nationwide offer. This was HMV in Ballymena

There are still new games coming to the 360. In drips and drabs. Mainly on arcade. I'm sure the new lego avengers came out this month on 360 on disc. With such a huge catalogue, MS will still support the platform for another few years. Especially with xbox live. It'll be a sad day when they announce xbox live is leaving the 360.
I also read somewhere Time splitters 4 is coming to the 360. That's Big!

Agree, plenty of life left in it and a good back catalogue of quality games now at pocket money prices still makes it a good choice in my opinion

If it happens it will depend entirely on the fate of timesplitters rewind. So if you want ts4 then get rewind when it launches. And buy ps4 as it's Sony who will be funding ts4. Hint- spent 2 years associated with ts:r and that's as much as crytek would commit unofficially

Even if you don't want the games Cex will take them off you for £13 cash (depending which Fable), leaving you with a shiny new Xbox 360 for £66.99

I'm still on XBox 360, got loads of games to finish yet. I have looked at PS4 and XBox One but I'm planning to play mine into the ground until I'm ready and there's more games available for the current generation.

good price but these will become redundant when xbox one introduce backward-compatability via their xbox 360 emulator. the ps4 however will not, therefore the ps3 will still be of some use

I got myself a PS4 last Black Friday but I've hardly played it, still find myself wasting my free time on GTA V online on my old XBox 360. Definitely a hot deal.

1 Feb 16#29
i heard you could use external drives for 360 now as storage id look into that first pal
lakesh8602
1 Feb 16#30
That is true but once external hard drives are set on the 360 you can only use it on the 360 unless you format it and use it on another device.
nublets2k
1 Feb 161#31
Surely if you want more storage buying a 2tb external hard drive is cheaper than paying £79.99 Xbox with 1/4 the space?
You could also pick up a 500gb WD Black 2.5 and use hddhackr on it.

Not likely! There are 48 million Xbox Live users, and MS have shipped around 16 million Xbox Ones. Shutting down Xbox Live for the 360 would probably disconnect at least half the Xbox Live userbase.

Or AVI/MP4 files burned to a DVD (yes, I know it's a bit old school but the disks are from about 2008). The XBOX One doesn't seem to be able to play them off a physical disk, whereas the 360 can.

ILots of families can't afford the latest consoles and high-priced games. You can get tonnes of great used games for ~£2 from places like cex. Plus it does a bunch of media stuff like Plex and Netflix.
Used consoles are a bit risky so new console for £80 with two games, hot.

This is no longer true since the last system update.
You don't have to format/set a specific amount of space for 360 only usage anymore. Now you simply plug the external HDD in and it'll just use whatever free space is available and leave the remaining space free just like on a PC.
