It won't be half a kilo for two bass fillets. Basa is white fish and hasn't any good omega 3 oils unlike trout.

I really want to buy, it but I am not sure how to buy it :S
So I will ask them to give me whole trout then they will weigh it ? so it will be 4 x whatever the weight gonna be = net price
then they will create fillets for me for free...
then I will come back and just cook it ?

Bought 2 trouts from tescos this evening, marinated with lemon juice, salt and paprika/red chilli powder. Pan fried with little olive oil, served with basmati rice. Opened a bottle wine, it all cost me £8 for a super saturday meal with my family. Thanks for the post. Hot :-)

No catch! Tesco have cut the fish prices for mackerel from £5 to £2.50 a kilo. Trout used to be about £6 a kilo.
