Are these safe to plug outdoor garden lighting in as in a few led posts around the pathway?

There are still a few left in argos so best to check before ordering from here.

Somebody suggested to place it upright against a surface and create a shelter to cover the top so water does not get in through the tiny gaps. I would drill a few holes at the bottom just in case any water does come in to drain out and if just using for water features take in through the winter as it would also get damp. Never leave plugged in and check the inside of the box before so.

I had one of these last year and just placed it straight on the floor and was filled with water so I covered with a few waterproof bags but think the idea above is better.

there are slots in the casing where the cables enter. that have a rubber seal on them. I have had one for a few years, but it does let water in, never been able to figure out how its getting in, but have to empty it a few times through out the year.

How do you feed the cables in so that it's watertight?

What is the point of this? Its an extension cord with a waterproof box to store it in. When would you not keep the extension cord in the house/shed/garage?
