Hi, this the first time I have posted a deal, I thought someone may be interested. I've been waiting for the price of this phone to go down as I missed it last time. I walked into my Vodaphone shop yesterday and was looking at the phone when an assistant came up to me and asked me if I liked the phone and I replied yes when it comes back down to £100, she replied the silver one is £100 at the moment, so I said I'll have it. I know this offer is not online, and it may be a managers special, but I thought you may like to know.

Had mine for 3 months now. Can't fault it. Simple to unlock. Super phone.
Only possible improvement would be if it was dual sim.

Had mine just over a week and its a nice improvment over my old Moto G (1st gen).
Couple of quid on ebay gets you an unlock code then you can use on any network.
Even has Android 5.1.1 available for it now (it had 5.0.2 when i bought it) over the air.
Oh and all but 2 of the vodafone apps can be uninstalled, and the 2 that you can't uninstall can be disabled.

2 Feb 16#18
I bought one of these and it's OK, but you can't use Sky Go on it which is a right pain.

2 Feb 16#28
Yes you can I even use it out and about on talk mobile 3g

I went into the store a week ago and they told me the silver one was £100, but I couldn't make it back to the store until yesterday, I thought it would have reverted back to £115, when the assistant read the bar code it came up as £115, he called the manager over and she played around with the computer and out came the receipt for £100. Also, when I came to pay they asked me if I was a Vodafone customer, I replied no, he said I will want a Sim bundle then, I replied no again, he then just took the money and smiled

bought one last week, sold it on eBay today as its too big for me,good phone but massive in the pocket
bleachershane to smilespiles
2 Feb 162#27
Most people are quite happy with being massive in the pocket... I mean, 5.5" isn't THAT big!
coldo to smilespiles

you would probably find a 5.5" phone too big if you perhaps came from a 4" phone or if your a midget !

It is a great phone. I like the big high resolution screen, it is great for web browsing or watching movies. The camera is ok, but not great.
As people said, using it with one hand is ugly, even if you have very big hands.

Is this phone better than the Motorola Moto g 3rd gen? They're both similar price I think. I've had a Motorola Moto g 1st gen for ages and love it but just beginning to slow down.

According to the Vodaphone spec on the Ultra it doesn't have Bluetooth and you can't take video on it? Surely that's wrong? All modern phones must have these. Can anyone please confirm?

Have you ran tests to see if you can read/write all 120GB? It would take a long time to test so I doubt it.

Amazon and Tesco Direct both sell the Smart Ultra 6 for £115 with no topup, useful if you have a few tecso vouchers like i did to knock another few quid off the cost.

What are the chances this will get marshmallow?
For those that own this - what are the pros/cons?
How long does the battery last on one charge and normal use?
What version is the bluetooth on this set 4.0 or 4.1?

This deal is a bit of a weird one. Called in two shops now and both scanned the silver model and it is still 115 plus 10 top up. Second store rang up to check and said the 100 is non existent in any stores. Well done op. Seemed you got the only one!
Picard123
3 Feb 16#61
This deal is a bit silly really because if you read the OP's description and look at the receipt, it's the clear that the discount only comes about because the manager at that store specifically discounting it for the OP. It's not nationwide.
