If you want a fully functional smartphone with NFC and great feature set, smooth interface, this is great. But if you want it for gaming as well, this does lack in areas, lagging in games like Simpsons Tapped Out, Family Guy Quest for Stuff and GTA. I decided to upgrade to a Lenovo K3 Note which doesn't have NFC but otherwise is a great handset, still not got round to selling my Smart ultra 6 though.

this or xiaomi redmi note 2?
nige182 to SDBradfo
3 Feb 161#32
The Redmi Note 2 is a better phone. Depends on supplier, price, warranty and possible import fees as to whether you think the Redmi Note 2 is worth the difference. If it is an EU warehouse then there are no import fees so if it isn't much more I would say get the Redmi.

Crappie phone. Back button started jamming and closing apps after 3 months of moderate use. Could not return as warranty voids when you unlock. Bought a decent phone from Gearbest.

Lukedotv
3 Feb 16#34
but you would be dishonest and loose £15. Just return it or ask them to refund the difference.
£99 is an awesome price for a phone with this spec but bear in mind (in my view) the camera on this is mediocre at best. If I know I'm going somewhere where I know I'll want some decent pictures I'll take my camera or at least my old Nexus 5 with me.

3 Feb 16#39
The iPhone was a fantastic phone, just that this one is so good I don't really miss much apart from the touch ID to unlock. Best bit is I complained to Amazon the headphones didn't work and they gave me a £25 partial refund.

4 Feb 16#74
Out of the 16gb how much do you have left to use. Is that enough? Just frustrating with Lollipop as so many phones with not much storage and cant use to its full potential. With no marshmallow update as time goes by and you downloads more apps it may prove you don't have enough space. Anyone think the same. Guess you cant ask for much for a £99 phone. Still a bargain. Not many android phones out there with more than 16GB so abit stuck.
nige182 to man_utd99
4 Feb 16#75
I find 16GB enough on most handsets, except where manufacturers partition them really silly (Sony for one). If I recall I think this has about 10GB-11GB free initially, someone else should be able to confirm. It does depend on the individual but I store photos and music on an SD card and the 16GB is enough for my apps. Obviously more storage is always nice and if the phone cannot take an SD card for photos and music, the 16GB is more of a stretch.

Bought one on Monday, had a Moto G 1st Gen, this phone is great and £70 less than the Moto G 3rd Gen I was going to buy. Unlocked with code from ebay in a couple of hours, it then updated to Lollipop 5.1.1, someone posted somewhere that when a phone updates from 5.1 to 5.1.1 it's the company preparing the phone for Marshmallow, does anyone know if this is true?

7 Feb 16#85
There have been rumours that Vodafone had it in testing, however that is no guarantee of release since it may be too buggy and they may not be able to get it stable. Or as has been suggested they may decide not to release it as they want to promote the Su6 successor instead (if there is one).

Best bet is to try out several in your local supermarket or phone shop for size and see what sort of handset size feels good to you. I would say a 5 inch screen handset is still a pretty big screen but the phones tend to feel quite a bit smaller than these 5.5 inch ones. Moto G, Doogee X5 Pro, there are plenty of good choices there.
