Worth a post, as just purchased as a emergency phone for 75p less with the NUS card.
People may also have gift vouchers etc...

How do you use your NUS card for a discount?

Rats did it all the way back in September and haven't had to enter is since. Pretty sure you just add it into the voucher / discount box at the end. If not their customer service is normally good.
i have us and added it on amazon ages ago, but my discount doesn't get applied with any orders. Maybe i need to reput the number. What departments does 5% work for?

Has it worked in the past? There is a £75 cap. My partner just reached his and didn't realise

It's worth noting (and I'm sure you're already aware), that the item must be dispatched from Amazon (as is the case here) and that the discounts only take effect until you have saved £1500 in that year.
Once you've made one purchase on Amazon.co.uk using a discount code, the discount will apply to all eligible purchases until the end date of 31 August 2016, or until the cumulative value of those purchases reaches £1,500, whichever occurs first. You won't need to add it again. Discount codes expire on 31 August 2016.

It's £75 on a single purchase. £1500 over the duration of the year.

IMHO do not but it for your 11YO, my 11YO wants an iphone as all his friends have one.

I wouldn't deny your child from the best in educational tool, get an iPhone. You are smart, experienced and much more able to troubleshoot, this phone is suitable for you as a matured adult. I bought one of this, my son gets an iPhone.

Yes im aware of that and i have amazon student prime, but still no discount, i have hardly ever used this as it used to work only in some departments like books and clothing, but not in technology. Id like the discount to work on tech which would be grand:( any tips how to achieve that?

I just spoke to Amazon - since I ordered this on saturday for £18 , my account is eligible for NUS discount but the current code lodged on the account expired in August 2015 , anyway - Amazon refunded me £3 , now I have to track down a new Amazon discount code from NUS Extra.

How efficient is the phone in your own opinion ? I read on Vodafone site that it's always freezes.

It would probably be best to contact Amazon direct. I have just tried the discount and it worked with no issues.

Its sat in a high place running as a mobile hotspot using Vodafones £10 for 50gb promotion - a lot of people seem to want to use it as an offline satnav , as a basic phone its probably OK.

I know, but I can promise that he / she will soon get fed up of it and you'll have to purchase another one. It happened to me and it got to a point where my son refused to bring out his phone when amongst friends (kids can be cruel) because he didn't want to be made fun of. After a little while he stopped taking it out completely until I got him a refurbished iphone 5c.

Code just stays on the account once added
