If anyone needs a recommendation I've run Uniroyal Rainsports on a number of cars and rate them highly! I've had Contisport 5's, Pirelli PZero Rosso/Nero's / Bridgestone Potenza's (also Toyo's / Khumo's on some cars too) to compare them against and in the weather we had here I can't say any of the others are more sure-footed in the wet!
I did actually see these at this price the other day as I'm going to need a new set soon.
[EDIT]
Also - Don't be put off by the Camskill website. They're a genuine company with great customer service, delivery times are really quick (next day in some cases, depending on stock and time of order). The only place I've found cheaper for any tyres has been Tyreleader, but ended up waiting over a week for delivery to save £4-5)

I need some new tyres, how have these held up for buyers as I might get them.
I listed those ones because they were 'A' rated in the wet, i know its not an exact science, but they seemed reasonable for the price.

i read these wear quite quickly.
anyone who's had these before care to chime in on this?

I've purchased 2 sets from Camskill website in the past. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Delivered next working day on my orders, packaged well in lots of stretch wrap. These are a real bargain IMHO.
Great company to buy from but I had a hell of a time trying to find someone locally who would fit tyres they hadn't supplied. Best to do your research first before ordering.
The only time that there is a difference between front and rear tyres is if the sizes are different. E.g. Some Porshces have wider rear tyres.
The other consideration is tyres being directional or asymetrical, but that is just down to the fitter to make sure they put them on the alloy the correct way round. There is no such thing as road tyres that are front/rear specific.

Ultra fast delivery from Germany ?!... you joking, tyreleader is often the cheapest place but not in this case - camskill is much cheaper for this tyre

I used to use Camskill, but Tyreleader is now the best. Ultra fast delivery and FREE delivery. These tyres are about 60 quid so a tad dearer, but remember 'free' delivery, also to a garage if needed for fitting.

I would stick with Goodyear. I thought these were not very good. Wear out quick. Average in wet.

I've bought 4 of these...just noticed the tread on these, are they suitable to put on front and back?
Might sound like a dumb question but I've had tyres before that were front/back specific.

Same here, I'm looking for decent (fairly quiet and fuel economy) all season 235/45/R17 for a while now and the cheapest ones are for about £80... How 18" can be so much cheaper???

I've always struggled with getting people to fit my own tyres, a few (say 10) years back it was easy, kwikfit saturday morning £20 jobs a goodun, but then it changed and they wouldn't touch them.
Is it easy to get done now then?

I've got these on my SAAB 9-3 and they perform really well. Very grippy tyre at a good price with excellent delivery from Camskill. Heat.

I purchased these from Camskills just 3 weeks ago at about £52 a corner plus delivery and a few weeks before that they were £54 so they seem to be coming down in price quite quickly. I paid £12 a corner for fitting but if you shop around you can find cheaper fitters. Good grip so far although there is some noticeable flex in the tyre walls.

rainsports are good. Im running them on a 180bhp fwd car and they grip well. compared to kenda branded tyres that were on it when i bought it the difference is really noticeable especially when cornering at low speed and putting power down in 1st gear.

I tend to just use this for leverage of a competitive price with a local tyre fitter I trust its worth it even if its £10-20 more expensive overall.
I find it a bit pie-key going through life this way, and a lot more bloody hassle.
You wouldn't buy frozen fish and pototoes then drive round to the chippy to get them to quote what it would cost them to reheat lol
Its always good to get goodwill etc with your local agents. For me this is Selecta Tyre I really rate them and I used an idea of cost for RS3s on my last purchase then assumption of £15 per side and they got very close to if I'd just **** about wasting my life trying to save 10p
Then again, if it wasn't for camskill I wouldn't have the low price to compare with in the first place, so its all good.
Ask around. I brought a different size of RS3s through camskill for my motor and the local garage done them for £5 a wheel.

I've 255/40/17's and they have worn fast. Kumho's, Conti's and Potenza's lasted me much longer. I also agree Camskill are good. They're good in the wet though, as expected..

I have been using the Goodrich tyres (made by Michelin about £64 from these people). Rears now 20k and will probably last the same again. Fronts are at 14k and will last another 2-3k (2 litre diesel). These Uniroyal's are reported to wear very fast, though great while you have them.

wish I could get them for that price for my xf sport I have had 2 sets of theses but mine are 20"x 255x35
They are very good in the wet little bit more noise than some others but are well worth the change
