It's standard final clearance price for Sainsburys (their clearance prices usually take effect on a Wednesday so most stores will probably have been cleared out by now)

It depends on what kind of store it is by the way. They might clear something out from one type of store but not another

They do this in my local one, not cos the products are being discontinued by the manufacturer, but it seems they do it to make space for new lines on a regular basis!

Never see this kind of thing in my local Sainsbury.
