Brilliant film with an amazing cast - Peter Mullan, Olivia Colman, Eddie Marsan. These are brand new & sealed, not from their 'replay' (used) category.
They had loads in their Maidstone, Kent branch, see pic.

I think the problem lies in that you expect a hero

The recommendation was here.
I knew nothing about the film so I watched it up to the last point, that was enough for me. Having seen the 'hero'? beat others up and then get beaten up himself, I realised this was nothing I wanted to watch.

But why should I want to watch a film where someone is brutally beaten up and where someone else is p****d on?
It is trash

Aaaagggghhhh....that's what a hangover does to you  I can't believe I put EDDIE when he's one of my favourite actors  He's absolutely mesmerising in Dead Man's Shoes.

So nearly didn't look at this deal as you'd expect a £1 DVD to be trash. Very glad I did as I love stuff like this especially British low budget films. Makes me really peed off that something as well regarded as this goes under people's radar when so much trash is released at the cinema these days. Just waiting for Youth not to get a full release and I'll be ready to abandon hope

Great film, gotta be a hot deal....slightly biased though as it was filmed less than 400 yards from our house. One scene in the charity shop even has us driving past in the background,I was going to be nominated for an Oscar for best newcomer but didn't fancy the limelight!!

Eh? The comments are 100% reliable; this is a massively underrated masterpiece of a film. By no means an 'easy watch' but definitely worth watching. Eddie Considine's directorial debut and what a first film he made.

Ahhhh. Was about to post this myself. For anyone interested, plenty of copies also in the Bromsgrove store.
Heat, of course, added.
