I had the same experience so about I guess 10 years ago now started buying the cheap 4 x 2 litre bottles of fizzy water (normally about £1 ish for four bottles). Mix even parts OJ and Fizzy (a sort of virgin Mamosa) and it's fantastically refreshing, without the bitterness and less calories for the same thirst quenching amount.

Was it marked on the shelf at that price? Or did you pick up a 4pk and just scan the barcode of the single carton!!!!!!

Are these any good? some supermarket brands can be very bitter in my experience. Anyone switched from freshly squeezed after the tele programmes that claimed "from concetrate" had same nutritional value?

I find Tesco OJ to be pretty good, better than the other stores own brands which IMO taste too sweet

I used to buy both but now I don't bother to buy fresh any more after the programe. Infact, I don't buy any after another program which explained the sugar content in these !!!!

In my opinion this is good, well balanced orange juice, and every bit as good as some branded products. I use it all the time.

I always found the concentrated apple juice much more refreshing than the pure squeezed stuff anyway (even though it looks like I'm drinking my own widdle). And when you see "1 of your 5 a day" printed on BOTH cartons well....you can draw your own conclusions. No documentary viewing is necessary.

What have your lawyers said about it? I cant believe Tesco forced you into purchasing it at that price. They should be punished severly.

From concentrate juice is simply fresh juice that has had the water content removed for transport (cheaper) and then had water re-added at the country of sale.
It's not different at all.

Thanks OP, picked up 13x 4-packs. Priced up at 85p with standard shelf label. Single carton of the same juice is £1  and savers version is 56p per carton
Dated until October 2016 and still had plenty left on the shelf when I left.
Edit: Make sure you scan the multi-pack barcode label as it's this that scans at 85p.
