Went to my local Sainsbury's to check for cheap Britta cartidges (posted on HUKD). They were at normal price, but I picked Tefal 24cm frying pan for £6 instead. Online price was £20, but item is 'not available' now, so it can be national if discontinued.
Only one left after me, so don't ask what store it was.
If this makes any difference the packaging says:
COOK, High Resistant non-stick
LonGlide non-stick coating
ThermoSpot
Looks different from my current 'Resistium' that proved to be very good.

I can see your logic...boil water in the pan, capture the steam through a condensing system, let the water cool...hey presto, clean water. Class. :smirk:
